Omg yess!! I got severe flashbacks now from my childhood! I remember me and me stoner bestie watching this movie at like around 15 y/o or smthn. This is not so much an error but an observation that always bugged me. They are sent to TOPGUN to learn ACM, "Dogfighting" "because the navy became too dependent on missiles". Yet, in the last scene, Maverick states that they have a problem because they only have 1 missile left. I would think, that a graduate of TOPGUN would not have an issue with switching to guns as ICEMAN did earlier and continuing to engage. Maybe I watch too much WWII footage, but to me, dogfighting is close in combat with guns. Ward, is it still considered "dogfighting" with the use of missiles only, even at the minimum .6 mile range of a sidewinder?
