it really hits hard when you saw the video of her getting run over with a car and then youtube recommends this the next day

One of the first few nights I let my older cat out after dark, he got mugged by a raccoon. No physical wounds, just covered in debris and wounded pride. No problems since then.

The "chupacabra" is a Fisher. Think about a 15lb. Weasel that climbs better than a cat can and likes to EAT cats. Cat sees scary predator, goes up a tree. Fisher smiles and accelerates... They can catch SQUIRRELS in TREES. A cat up a tree is a piece of cake for them. Coyotes dearly love to catch & eat cats too. You may want to get a couple more (spayed, neutered) barn cats, they enjoy their cat lives a lot more than indoor cats but suffer considerable attrition in my experience.

That little chupacabra is actually a weazle or stoat. They are extremely predatory and will go after small rodents birds and the chicklings, so be careful and they can get into anything.

I'm assuming that the bear was in the tree because Pablo was loose.

Very thoughtful to remove the bell from her collar. Nice videos I have cats now and used to have ducks they are really cool. But hard to keep alive with all the predators.

1 year ago we had the best cat ever, we kinda life in a farm, sort of farm. And if we left and came back he would always sit theyre waiting forus to come back with the car, so cool and sweet. He would kill everything and other cats didnt have a chanse against him, he would never give up and had a verry big terrain to rule, but on a random day when i came back from school my mom was crying and said that he died from a heart failure😥 i loved him sooooo much. Now we have a new cat and im gonna train him like a fucking boss, so he can take back the tarrain that was from the legend cat himself

LiL Barn Cat looks exactly like my Little One. When I first got my kittens, 3 to start over 2 months, I would have nightmares that I took them with me on a trip and other people would leave doors open so the babies got away. I live in a mobile home park and my cats, now 5 of them, are all indoor cats. My alpha cat, Sophia, looks exactly like Molly Murder Mittons! Beautiful calicos!

The only way for the allergy to dissapear is when you develop antibodies which only occurs when you constantly expose yourself to allergens. Your WBC form memory cells over time. I use to be allergic to cats too but it took me 3 months and the watery eyes and nostrils were gone.

Just a thought, if protecting the cats from predators is priority, you may want to changes those alloy (?) tags around their necks. May as well have cow bells tied to them. Anything that clangs, jingles, flashes..ect gives away hiding positions. Easy to track while being chased, not to mention reflecting light in the dark. All this makes them easy pray to a much faster bobcat. Those colorful colors dont help the camouflage concept either when hiding from predators. Their already at a disadvantage due to size and speed, but those cute flashy collars and noisy tags, puts them at a further disadvantage. I was surprised to see such an obvious oversight.

flea prevention - i have found that if i give our sokoke 2 tablets of brewers dried yeast a day - no fleas - the brand is naturvet - it's for pets this one has garlic flavoring and she gobbles them up

cat poo chores took us like 30 minutes a day for ONE cat. those beasts shit like crazy. we resolved the problem by buying a litterrobot for 500 bucks. we now only switch out the poo bag every 3 days in 3 minutes and need to refill litter once a week for another 3 minutes. this thing saves us HOURS every week. worked for like 2 years, than the thing went broke. so we kinda fixed the old one and got a new one too (we also got 3 cats now). 500 bucks is like a 20 usd investment per month for 24 month. 20 usd for like 10 saved hours per month. worth it for me.

From family lore, my grandfather saw a neighbor dump a sack of kittens on his farm. My grandfather was able to load up several of those back into the sack along with a litter of kittens from his own barn cats and delivery them back into his yard. Back in those days farm cats weren't spayed.

Chupacabra =Fisher. Hope little lil is okay I realise she is a barn cat but she is still young and vulnerable. I had a house cat killed by a coyote.he snuck out one night and a coyote got hold of him and he was a pretty good sized Male capable of defending himself .not trying to worry you but be aware it does happen Especially around wooded areas like were you obviously live. Cats will fight back but there not always successful against predators much larger than they are.

I lock my feral/barn cat up @ night. Too scary for me when they are outside.

You've never mentioned Fisher cats as a predator around your farm, but from growing up in Vermont, I know they're pretty nasty predators, and a major issue for pets. That might be the Weasel-type of critter you keep seeing.

When I moved into the house I live in now 15 years ago the place was crawling with feral cats. I couldn't stand how thin and sickly they looked. So I trapped them which was no easy task. Then I got them their shots, spay or neuter and then they were chipped. At one point I had 30 feral cats with a barn they used in NC where it doesn't get too cold. Well just like my Guineas they were picked off through the years I believe by foxes. They would simply just disappear and really cared for them. To this day it really bothered me. I never had any luck taming a feral cat and believe me I tried.

LOL training wheels - I mean training bell off - LOL I lock my barn cats up at night so the coyotes don't get them but here it is necessary or they don't last a year.

to get rid of cat allergies, feed egg yokes to cats. it will downgrade the production of the "Fel d 1" protein which is what ppl are allergic to. takes about a month of feeding egg yokes to notice a difference. may need to go longer if your cat is older vs younger.

What about winter? Very curious I’ve owned cats in the past but not for yrs cuz I luv dogs but never together. But I wanna get cat ..n train him like a barn cat

I am really allergic to cats it also hasn't stopped me from owning one my entire life lol the only things i had to do dont let him near my face and after touching him i had to wash my hands he was also not allowed in any of the bedrooms .We had covers on the couches and he had his own blanket and bed that were washed a lot and we always have antihistamine in the house fortunately my allergy is not that bad .UNFORTUNATELY after 15 years our boy salem died 18months ago he was an amazing cat that we still dont like the idea of replacing so for the first time in 44 years we dont have a cat ,and it feels weird i can get a fix though by watching videos .

So not only he's allergic to cats, but he is allergic to duck eggs. I feel bad for the guy, and who knows what else he is allergic of? Hemp?

I don’t know why people love to put collars on cats but if you must make sure that the collar is a specially made break away collar. Cats love to climb things and crawl under bushes and such. The regular type of collar gets caught on a branch or something else and gets strangled to death or starves to death under some bush out in the woods. With the break away collar the cat struggles to get free and hopefully pulls hard enough to trigger the mechanism to unlatch and set him/her free. Yes, you lost a collar but the cat is still alive. Just buy a few of those name tags because the outside cat gets caught up on something regularly.

Understand how nerve wrecking it can be hoping you can trust a lively youthful cat not to slip up despite great preparation and Pablo as a bit of support guidance(hopefully). She made it and she really was needing release at night👍.You had done great preparation. My son has 2 bengal cats that need some outdoor time, done with as much safety proviso's as possible, but never as safe as kept indoors always. Indoors always lead to extra neurotic behaviour, ripping fur out and bladder with blood re stress for boy and girl vomiting quite a bit, boy vomits re stress too. No indoor play, toys and attention, or even an outside enclosure can make up for some free outside time, some semi supervised and total bit free with being called back or retrieved semi involuntary at worst. Night they are in though.

Have your allergy to Lil reduced or do you only handle her a little? Just handle all your cats more, wash your hands after, and you'll get used to them.

Welp, u prolly need to worry bout eagle owl and other large predatory bird... they do prey on small mammals, cats and small dogs included.

Now granted I don't live on a farm and I'm not allergic to cats, but we have a cat flap that automatically locks from the outside so that our cats can't go out at night. My grandmother is a lady that cares a lot about the cats in her neighborhood as most of the strays there are from people who abandoned them after moving away. They live near a forested area and a coyote, out of desperation, chased down and gutted one of the cats in broad daylight. The way grandpa tells it, she cried like she had lost a child and the scene was absolutely horrific. Long story short, one of the people in the neighborhood spotted a coyote a while ago very near to where we live. Not wanting to risk it, we put in those precautions. We would have preferred to have them be indoor cats as it would also prevent them from killing wildlife, but our youthful boy, muffin, didn't really give us a choice in that matter. He poops in the tub out of spite apparently. He also had as much energy as a fennec fox and would try to bask in our bearded dragons cage when we weren't paying attention.
