I embed some stones in a tilt wall concrete panel and set them in place.

First, you have balls of enormous girth. Second, don't you dare stop putting out your build videos. Third, I suspect your channel is going to take off.

It would really interesting to see how it finishes off, here in the UK after WW2 we had a lot of homes built as pre fabricated. Mainly because in some towns, especially Southampton most of its housing stock was in areas that were heavily bombed, so pre fabs as they were known were a quick and easy solution. Really like how you've done the stone work, it makes the building look more interesting than a concrete block. 👍

Hey Brother I'm in awe of what the one man band accomplished my two cents if you had some concrete dead men to lay on the deck behind the hoist, Lil counterweight, nail biter when you rose the gable wall, glad it turned out, and you think you might show us doing rings and valves on the Ole girl thanks again you aspire to greatness

Hi Mike, i would love to see more on this project. You take on some daunting tasks. I have a few concerns on this one and would like to see how you address them. The crane has performed magnificently what a bonus. Take care and maybe look into teaming up with another RU-vidr to help raise your profile. Low viewer numbers is just a case that they don’t know you a re there. Good luck with this project. Don’t get underneath those suspended walls. More power to your elbow.
@mikekisch5563
@mikekisch5563 Год назад
i agree its a daunting task. Thats the main reason i cant add a week or 2 or 3 or however much time i would spend making videos. i have to tighten down on my time and spend it all efficiently working on the build.
@mikekisch5563

also, what concerns did you have? i am wondering if i missed planning for something.

Two part the rigging to get a more even pick between picking eyes. Two 20 footer’s instead of four 10 footers, use pulleys on the beam and steel chokers. Cheap insurance. Keep the videos coming about the house. Use plastic conduit in the concrete to help with wires and such. Thanks!
@mikekisch5563
@mikekisch5563 Год назад
i agree with the pulleys, i thought about that, but i chose simplicity. i think i could have picked these with 2 lifting points. i just put at least 4 to 6 for a little peace of mind. i know some were loaded a little more than others.

I dont know how much those walls weigh and if they would be too heavy but if you are picking up things that are tall like walls or columns you should boom down (or up depending) in order to keep from dragging it on the ground as you pick it up and do not boom up more or else you may sing the load toward you when it breaks from the ground. this could cause sideloading or shock loading in some causes both very bad for cranes. Just a tip to keep you safe and be a smoothe operator!

I would be a bit leary of welding that way in a three and a half inch wall. I would want to know that the expansion and contraction of the welded steel wouldn't break the concrete. I would be a bit more comfortable with a six inch wall and a tighter schedule on the rebar centers. Hope it works out for you. I would also have put rebar in the slabs so when they crack they stay in the same plane. No trip bumps in the floor or broken flooring.

Hi Mike, My concerns were that there wasn’t a jointing compound put in when erecting the panels as opposed to doing it after. My other main worry is the connection of the base of the panels to the base and water ingress there. You may have addressed these concerns Mike but I’m only going on what I can see from the videos. You get on with the job and let the videos come as they may. I’ll be watching out for them. Good luck!
