After editing the shortcut target and try to open it, there's a popup that says file server.cfg, line (Bunch of symbols here) encountered instead of = but if I run the exe that the shortcut is linked to then it works. The shortcut will not work.

i noticed on steam itself, if you select tools, there's an install for an arm 3 dedicated server. can I use this? Just checked, the directories are exactly the same, so if you want to skip the cmd prompts you can use the steam app itself.
Hey, I'm encountering a proble where I can connect to my server but it kicks me out because of BattleEye initialization failed error. I can normally connect to other servers.
Everything works I can play on the server I created but It's not reading my config file I used your server.cfg file but it doesn't matter what I type for hostname etc. It doesn't show up as that on server browser list nor is it password protect what am I doing wrong
now how do i add mods? i know how to drag it into the folder and putting the key into the servers keys, but dont isnt there a third step to make it run on the server?
Hey, i dl the SteamCmd, but when i run it it says "[----] Verifying installation... [ 0%] Downloading Update... [ 0%] !!! Fatal Error: Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again." what can i do ? xD
@@dalkhus8896 ..... Stable internet connection, PC blocking firewall or anti virus and few other things I can think of so yes it is ur PC/internet :v nothing wrong with steamcmd
@@yomo5627 yea, I think the dude was running a separate dedicated PC. I think you may be able to do this also if your computer is a beefy threadripping power house with duel processors and opening a separate window via "start key & tab" and running 2 users on a single pc simultaneously. Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. An egg head may pitch in the comments in a few days. And no... never found the IP. Giving up for a few days
