Do you need help setting up an Arma 3 Dedicated Server?
In this tutorial, I will be presenting how to set up an Arma 3 Dedicated Server through the use of Windows PC. We will also be utilizing TADST and PBO Manager to install Arma 3 third party Mods and Maps.

I followed the instructions up until I tried to launch the server through TADST where it gave an "Unsettled exception in the program."

@@Cine_Spirit No they don't. TADST is still available only on Github as far as my research went. My problem is that...there is no .exe file in the ZIP folder...so...no joy...little help my friend?

This is a great video and I did everything in it but I am having a hard time finding my server. I did everything and it starts up alright but whenever I go to filter and type its name, it never appears for me. What do I have to do to fix this?

Update, it turns out its working but its only appearing in LAN and I check with my "port forwarding" with Xfinity and I have ports for 2302 through 2305 so why its it appearing on LAN?

@@LoganGaming01 might have to contact xfinity direct, sometimes they lock the shit down for no reason

I installed ARMA 3 on my laptop and PC. I want to use my laptop to host the server. My laptop is missing the !Workshop folder in the ARMA 3 install, but my PC has it. What can I do to get the !workshop folder to appear? I have hidden files shown on both. edit: I am transferring the !workshop folder addons from my Desktop to my laptop via network transfer. My laptop's addons are stored in the Steam workshop folder with crazy numbers only, no !workshop folder.

you skipped quite a few steps that are important such as how to add official DLC " +app_update 233780 -beta creatordlc " validate +quit" is needed to run on the steamCMD.exe, you say to use the "/" to open up the group channel which is false, that opens up the chat only which is what is needed to use"#login ". for anyone that unbinded the "/" for other purposes it is the chat hotkey in multiplayer that opens up the dialog box, not group channel, to type in the admin password.

a bit late but that code means that you have not enough drive space for Arma 3 dedicated server to install in (7.11 GB)

maps folders are empty... whats wrong with my game? i found them with the a3launcher.. now i have 3 pbo? should i merge them together or or just grab the bigger on?

After you pack your map into pbo files, move/copy and paste them over to your arma 3 server directories MPmissions folder.

Can't find an answer to this anywhere and its driving me insane, How do I setup which mods are required for clients so that they show up in the launcher server browser as well as auto-subscribes to them when someone joins for the first time

TADAS is pretty old you can set up the mods for the game but I do not think it will do the auto sub stuff as itws kind of new

@@rabbi140 bro i had the same problem but i found it.its so easy. 1:login username 2:password but when you type a password you cant see the password while you type so you typing your steam password dont do anything direct press Enter and wait until login. i hope you got something...

I would try reinstalling and check your firewall is allowing connection from Steam CMD

I am really struggling at the map section. It feels really unclear :( Mission = map? I thought you have to have a map, and then you add missions to the complete server files? :(

Each mission has a map that it is built on e.g liberation.altis, invade&annex.malden The way missions are built; You select what map you want in eden editor, and then you build the mission on that map. You cant just switch the map that the mission uses. Hope this helps 🙂🙂

I seem to be having issues in the steamcmd.exe window. The biggest issue wasn't logging myself in, it was actually typing in; app_update 233780 validate because once I pressed 'enter', it would give me the following message:- Update state (0x0) unknown, progress: 0.00 ( 0 / 0 ) Error! App '233780' state is 0x202 after update job. I assume it might be a different set of codes post 2020, but I don't have a clue as to what this number could relate to; to really fix the issue, unless I've missed something obvious. I hope someone can answer my question, cause it would be much appreciated. :)
