hey, when im trying to update the driver software it says that it cannot find any driver software for this device,im not using a usb btw,can you please help me?
I know this is pretty old, and I'm not sure if you've tried this, but the default logging data folder is probably in the software install directory inside the "program files" or "program files (x86)" folder. The Program Files folders are write protected by default, so moving the logging location out of there may fix the need to run as admin or disable UAC.
hi HB do you have a fix for the upgrade function, when i do it, i select online upgrade but it says i an unable to acces the network. i thought it would be best to have newest version. i have 1.04 sp1
upgrade function has never worked for me.. I just go direct and do it manually. I think it's because MPP solar don't make the software they just foward it so to speak
Your video dies at 8.10 but audio keeps going when I watched this. You can log into the software as the admin also instead of guest, password is 'administrator' don't know if that affects anything or not?
Hi mate, I’m having troubles setting this up, my inverter is not sending any data to my laptop when plugged in or my computer is not recognising my inverter, one of the two - I have updated driver USB as you suggested video. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance . Chuck
All modern for the past two years have worked ( tried a few earlier versions of watch power after i did this vid worked perfect first time) Also worked on all versions of Windows10 that said I've gone back to windows 7 because it works better for other things i do with that computer.
Hello i have and mpp LV5048 and I'm having trouble connecting the Watchpower what cable am i suppose to us thank you i have tryed the usb cable provided ?
Plug it in, if it doesn't work go to your device manager and see the USB drivers are installed. Check on a different computer, or clean install winodws and test over. It is simple to connect unless computer has an issue
Yep, install teamviewer on your laptop that is connected to your MPP solar unit and i can remote in and take a look. email me on admin at diypowerwalls dot com
Have you tried a second computer, checked Device Manager to see if there are any conflicts, did you shut down watchpower - the two programs won't work at the same time on the same computer
@@HBPowerwall Very kind of you to offer. I am going to try some of the suggestions I got today about changing the set up and I am still waiting for Peggy on Monday to send me the latest updated version of WatchPower. If that fails I will be dropping you a line :) Thanks from Chile. Jim
@@HBPowerwall Thank you, I later caught that in your video actually. I've got no power at AC OUT. Any advice? where is the best troubleshooting resource? Thanks again.
@@HBPowerwall Ha!, Was in standby mode, I figured the switch part out lol. On watchpower main page, it is not recognizing my loads. All values are zero, except output voltage and frequency. Any idea why? Thank you.
It does not matter what I do I cannot get my IPS to connect to the program. I have tried absolutely everything. If anyone has has similar problems adn has solved it can you please contact me.. Thanks.
there you are, just updated to the latest version fixed your issue.. it's always the little things that'll get you every time.. Good night .. don't forget to uninstall TeamViewer..
@@HBPowerwall I believe mines have the RS485 port looks like an Ethernet port & it has the USB port that looks like a printer type USB plug to USB type cable
This watch power software and the mppsolar inverter, especially the PiP 3024 GK is reallz a pain in the ass. A lot of nonsense failure messages, the cable what is included in the package is from 1960... incrediable. Never buz this crap again. The customer service is the worst i ever met in my life.
@@HBPowerwall good for you. The measurements and data doesn't fit, the software is old and low level developed... that is our experience. And the support is just a fun. upps, of course it makes no fun, it's annoyingly!
Your whole video is, in summary, "Search for drivers"!?!? Bloody waste of time. And what do you do when it's a USB interface that isn't being detected? SMH.
