Nice, in my opinion you must hang the light from somewhere because it’s risky being there. It might fall in the water. Also it’s going to make the room brighter. Because there is not even enough light to film !

A hint on rinsing rocky substrate drill small holes in the bucket smaller than the diameter of the substrate to let the dirt and dust drain it's a lil faster

I would just zip tie the heater brackets to the milk crates and clip them on inside the milk crate. Then you could service the heaters easily if you needed to.

Please, secure the lights. You don't want to fry your fish or yourself in the process. Also if you are using TL lamps, make sure the moist(damp) cannot get to the 'starters' of those lamps :) Safety first, for you and your fish (y) Have a nice day :)

If you wanna do live plants around the filter, pothos is a great plant, it grows roots in the water but grows above it so it would be perfect, it also cleans the water as well!

It's a good idea but that will not be enough filtration for the fish you are going to end up putting in there, you will need atleast triple that amount

Wouldn't you have to put something on top so that your pike doesn't jump out or any other fish

Since you are going chiclids it might not be enough filtration in the filter box, and having the intake and out take at basically the same place means there isn't gonna be a lot of movment in the water so stuff is just gonna settle quickly.

Are the turtles going in there?

I disagree about gravel being easy to clean . Sand everything sits on top doesn’t get under like it does with gravel.
