If you want to get rid of the noise in your sub, you have to remove the amp and there is a metal plate at the back of the port. It has to screws and glued, you need to remove it.

I think everyone here can agree, that were not scared of wife agro, after we've just dumped 1800-2000 dollars on the vive, and a suitable system to run it.. If that hasn't already gotten your ass chewed out, I don't think she's going to mind the dangling cord. xD

My HTC Vive just arrived by ups 2 days ago and now i realize i have to buy the Fovitec StudioPRO - 2x 7'6" Light Stand VR Compatible Kit w/ Ball Head Mount. First of all i don't have a electric drill to screw the sensors in the wall and even if i did my wall is very weak(i would make a hole in my wall). Now i have to wait another week or two for the Stands,it sucks because now i am just looking at it in the box without enjoying it.

If you dont want to drill madd holes. Just use velcro for your lightbox.Also, velcro acts like a shock absorber too.

The sync cable is not 15 feet! it's 15 Meters (49 feet). He could hang a HAMMOCK off those sensor mounts,. The stud finding thing is a good idea,. USUALLY use Grindr for that. (jk) My Rift sensors are on the ceiling, these will be next to 'em I guess!/.. (I bought two 1.0 basestations for my Valve: INDEX can't WAIT!) I hope its like VR for first time again!

You're the first person to say how long the power cords are for the base stations. They don't even tell you on their website. Looks like I should have a pretty good setup for me. I wish I had a room as big as yours to play in though. I think my play area is 8x10 at most.

p.s. about those tracking sync cables u have going to each base station...u totally don't need those..

My (real) first ever time experiencing VR was on a bus for like 30 seconds watching a horror game until I chickened out. (Of which I do not remember at all, except for what I was watching, obviously) I seriously want my (next) first VR experience to be on the HTC Vive, considering I’m getting a GTX 1060 Laptop soon. I can’t wait!

Yes theres a better way of unroling a cabel , but profesonals electricians ect also do that mistake from time to time so dont feel bad.

Hello! I am planning on purchasing an HTC Vive for my son, but I don't have a PC and I was wondering what the cheapest kind that I could buy is. Did you use a Windows PC? Do I have to buy one of those 1,00 dollar ones to use with the VR headset? I would really appreciate anyone who lets me know! I have been searching for days!

Does your video card have more than one HDMI? One going to the HTC Control box and the other to your monitor? We've been using TeamViewer for the setup but I guess we're going to order DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter cable since we don't have more than one HDMI on our video card. I was wondering how other people are dealing with this?

Hmmm, maybe you should read the instructions first. If you actually read the instructions, it would tell you that you didn't need the sinc cable and that you just needed them to look at eachother.
