Is the HTC Vive worth it?

11:59 thats the problem of telling people about VR its not the same as you see when watching someone playing it . So they watch a youtube video and think its a shit gimmick . I had family over to try my VR and they where watching me and some others play VR . Most people said things like "why are you over reacting" it cant be that good " . They cant believe that pepple are actually scared of horror games or confused why pepple are reacting so much to a fake game . But then when they have a turn inside the vr headset they instantly underatand the magic of it. Its my favourite thing to witness someone going from thinking " this doesent look that good why is he exaggerating " to playing it themselves and saying outloud fucking hell this alot better then it looked on the PC screen now i get it.

You know the Nvidia VR games, the skeet shooting game? I got hit by a pot and i flinched and fell over. this was a demo in a Microsoft store

Looks like the racing game was fun, did you find it useful for racing being able to look into the apex?

Once the price of VR like the Vive reaches the 300-400 dollar range it will become more mainstream in the gaming world.

The vive is worth every penny, even if you have to get a high end pc to run it. Dont regret buying it. Never hat this much fun.

It's 100% worth it. Anyone that says otherwise is an oculus fangirl or a VR hater. BTW kids, HTC Vive was rated the favorite among developers and it was rated number 1 tech device of 2016.

When I first put on my Vive I legit cried, I cried right in front of all my siblings and family members because it was so cool and nothing like I had ever seen, and I'm only 15. I don't think it's really the exact number age you are but mostly your relationship to games and the different consoles. I had been playing games since I was a wee lass since my dad was an avid gamer before me and I had saved up so much of my allowance to spend on the steam summer sales, and even built my own computer recently so I hold gaming very closely in my heart, which is why I had such an extreme reaction.

I watched 3 minutes of the video and then decided to give you people the short version: YES IT'S FUCKING WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have the posibility, GO BUY IT NOW!

Hi. i have one question, does your vive display turns off when you take the headset off (like in rift oculus/Gear VR) because mine doesn't i see there is betweent the lens Proximity Sensor and i know it works but when i take the headset off the display doesn't turn off immediate it turns off after about 15 30 seconds and when i touch the hesdset or atleast slide it on a table etc it immediate turns on i dont even need to wear the headset. please answer Thanks

Can anyone tell me if I'm missing out of I don't use Vive in roomscale? I could afford standing or sitting but room scale would had to make me install the headset in the room next to me but I also want to have the sitting option when playing race vames etc.

I'm a vr enthusiast so it's great to see you doing vr for the channel. The thing about vr is people have to experience it to really understand. The biggest problem with vr imo is locomotion; I'm not sure teleportation is the solution. I'm hoping the Virtuix Omni is sufficient but we're so early it's like we're in the wild west where everyone is trying everything and seeing what works.

I just got a vive recently. So far the most fun I've had in it is still the bow and arrow demo in the lab. So much fun!

Also one more question, when playing the racing game(was it project cars?) do you have to move one of the sensors to right in front of you? I assume sitting in that position at least one of the ones mounted were being obstructed right?

Would tripods be best for on the go VR? I built me a little Titan X Pascal shoebox PC :)

Jay been a while since the vive came out. I'm thinking about getting one but money is the issue. PC is good to go, just have a couple questions and that is... Are you still playing it often and if so, how often? Does the novelty wear off?

how big is your room? My wife and I are purchasing a townhome and we have a flex room/area on the 2nd floor that I wanted to setup as a VR room. Problem is that our stairs lead directly into the flex room (No door or anything) and the area only has two walls I can use to mount the receivers. Is this viable or should I setup in one of our bedrooms?

Nice one man! I'd love to see some more VR experience vlogs - very helpful! I'm hopefully upgrading from my current PC to a VR capable beast in the next six months or so. I'm not saying what I have now - it's beyond embarrassing. Suffice to say it's going to be like trading in an early 90's VW Golf for a McLaren Spider. Somewhere along that line I anticipate a Vive.
