I wish there was a non-academia version of this planner. For millennials who try to squeeze in learning new things and being creative between work, washing up and house renovation.
there are usually annual planners that are out around december/january!! the same design as this one but more suited for work and personal planning etc :)
It’s nice to see someone who enjoys reading and who likes to stay organized as someone who doesn’t like it because I am a slow reader and I am not a very organized person.
I think it could be really nice to have a page to write a note to your future self! It would be lovely to have a dedicated page, perhaps with an envelope or even a just fold, to leave a note to yourself at the beginning of the year that you can open when you're feeling stressed during exam season, and maybe one for 5 or 10 years down the line to look back on. It would be such a fun touch to add to the front or back somewhere! ✨
In case you’re exploring new ideas, I like to use my planner to track progress. There are sections used just to plan next steps on different pursuits and a summary of tangible progress for the week, so at the end of the week you could see all of it when you’re celebrating, or the tangible absence of progress if that’s the case
Watching Ruby's videos after a long break and having been diagnosed with ADHD/extending my degree by yet another year just now realising she's basically what I've been aspiring to be all this time − or even what I could have been if it wasn't for this condition.
Issy, little tip from a fellow ADHDer, check out the Anti-Planner planner. It doesn't have a calendar, it's a tool book for neurodivergent folks like us to cope with the times we struggle to pick up any planner or pick up ourselves from the sofa ;)
Keep going. I'm a Psychiatrist with ADHD with 10 academic years behind me. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 39. It makes life hard, but, it makes the successes all that more sweeter. You can do it xxx ❤
Same here, I keep comparing myself to successful students like Ruby and just get sadder and more disappointed each day because being neurodivergent is obviously something I can't change :(
@@anna-maria1412Aim to make yourself proud by doing things you love. Ruby may be successful student but there are many things she doesn’t have, or can’t/doesn’t do - same goes for most studytubers.
Issy, I found I couldn’t use lists, but mind mapping software works much better for me. It’s worth trying. If you are in education it’s often available free via the service for students with disabilities. Best of luck. Fellow ADHDer.

@@user-lo2xt9pn5m or maybe someone wants to try her system without paying double for the big boy! I bought her '23-'24 planner and it was awesome but I skipped 3-4 months so they were left unused... Some people don't use it every month and they can easily just repurpose or skip days! I also prefer the no date thing, it works for me ♥
Beautiful! 😍 just a heads up, the school year here in Australia starts at the start of the calendar year so you could absolutely release one at the start of the year if you wanted to!
This is going to be my third year buying your planners and I can't way to start using it again for this academic year! They've helped me a lot with staying organized and on track with my tasks! Not to mention the fact that they are always soo beautiful
It was one of the best purchases of last year, definitely the best planner I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to buy a new one! I’d honestly just love a reset/planning video. I feel like autumn is such a great time to declutter, set intentions and start new things. There’s somehow less pressure to make and keep ”resolutions” than there is in January, it’s just a time to get excited about everything to come!
@@RubyGranger8 Well you now have 5 years of experience on how to prepare for autumn/the new academic year/planning for it / self-care - you are the expert Ruby (and you love autumn, the evening of the year, just like your community). I think this is the BEST year to do a video and share the highlights of your massive experience (maybe with a few flashbacks from when you started, like you did in this video, just underlines that we're all on a never-ending journey and where it can lead us if we persevere). There are so many young students making these kind of videos, I haven't found any with your real-life experience! It doesn't matter that you won't study yourself, but shift your focus to work, you have ample of examples from your past. And maybe you add in a theme 'how to balance study and starting to work, preparing for your job post-Uni? Just an idea. I for one will have to do that too and many students will have to earn money once they finish... but how to even start? Again, you've effectively worked alongside Uni for 5 years now with your stationary shop, you know. - You still have sooooo much to share, and your advice and your way to capture the mood, the joy and the soul of autumn has only improved, your words in your last video, sharing passages from your diary were lyrical, not too different from what somebody like Mary Oliver would have written - yes, you are that good :-) and your autumn video this year will be vastly different to any you did before, for that very reason. Don't deprive us of that, please, don't deprive yourself of that... allow yourself to reap the fruits of your hard work, recognising you have become an expert and a role model/thought leader. It is scary, but also very beautiful.

idea for the second “books” page: articles and extracts you’ve read! if you’re like me and tend to read fewer, larger books every year, the second page might be daunting!! but I plan to use it to track when I read maybe one or two chapters of a book for a paper, but don’t finish the book as the other parts are not relevant to my study at the moment. Short stories, news articles, academic articles, etc could also be good!!
just ordered mine! I'm an in my head planner, So i want to start writing things down and this is the closest planner I've found that matches the way i plan so far, hopefully i will be able to stick with it!

I absolutely love the ,,fresh parchment" design! I actually chose that one for my planner this year and I'm so excited to customize the cover myself! Having more options for the pumpkin notebook would also be fun. Each design you create is so cosy, warm, and just beautiful that the notebooks would turn out amazing!
I am starting my dream MSc in September and I can't wait to get this planner! Whatching your time in Oxford, which was your dream university really inspired me and I still cannot believe I got into my dream uni! Good luck with your PhD journey, I plan to do one too after doing a second masters which is research-based or going straight into PhD. This year's planner looks STUNNING! 🤍 I got your planner last year as a self-made gift for my graduation and it has been my best friend for the whole of my first year of my Master's in English. This year I won't be able to get it though, unfortunately :( I don't live in the UK so the shipping costs and the currency conversion made this the perfect graduation gift but not an yearly purchase. I love this planner!!! The purple one gives me autumnal and Hogwarts vibes because of the leaves and the envelopes, so I just purchased that one (digital)! I was very close to getting the blue one though!! So excited to use it going into my first year studying an English with Creative Writing BA at Nottingham uni :)

Your planners look so pretty as always! I don’t use academic or daily planners but I love the aesthetic of these planners and the blue one is definitely my favourite because it literally matches my moon and stars tattoo! Also even though I don’t use planners, I still enjoy journaling and this has given me a couple ideas for what I could put in my journal!

Thank you Ruby, I too have been waiting for this video for 2 weeks and I can't wait to get both the analogue and the digital version. Please consider doing the autumn video (I replied to your comment about it). I'm currently re-watching all your videos in order since your A-Levels (I started at the end of your undergrad but wanted to see the whole journey) and it's incredible to see them all in order and how you've changed and grown throughout them, you're a real role model, and you don't need to do anything in order to be that, except for being who you are. There's no pressure there, only deep sympathy.
The personality quiz to determine which planner to get is SUCH a fun idea - never seen anyone do that before for similar products! I would love to get one but the shipping to the U.S. is just too much. They are lovely though!

I would LOVE to use it, but my school makes us use the planners they give out for free. I appreciate it a lot, and not enough students take enough advantage of it, but this is SO much better. last year I was hoping to get in uni and study my second bachelor ( the one I always wanted to , composition - music ) and start my academic year with your planner, I got accepted but there were problems with visa and I couldn't go. I am hoping to get accepted again for the next year and actually be able to go and study the major I want and get this planner .🤞🏻🤞🏻

I've been buying Ruby's wonderful planner for the last 3 years but as a neurodivergent person, especially with ADHD and executive dysfunction, I'm really hesitating to buy it this year since I will never really be able to use it to its full potentional or be the successful student I want to be. I always hoped to be what Ruby is when I'm older (I'm 23 now and in college) but it's super hard to even do any tasks, yet fill and use a planner as nice as this one at all :( ❤
