Setting up my Syrian Hamster Cage | Prevue 528 Small Animal Cage | UNBOXING!

I’ve had a couple of my subscribers mention this cage to me!! It’s so awesome to see a large wire cage in American/Canada!!

I think the platform itself was about the size of one of those tiny tales cages my god

My hamster taka had a kaytee cage that he kept escaping but we always found him. one day i decided getting a bigger cage would be a good idea, so I ordered this with one day shipping.the night that i ordered it he went missing agian, for the final time. I waited a month or two for him but, nothing and we never saw him again. Now my hamster kovu lives in it and he loves it. Sorry for the long story.

I love that cage Munchie, at first I thought oh the Alaska Cage in black the first time I saw it in Amazon. This cage is going to be amazing as its the least expensive cage out of the Americas Cages.

Getting this for my hamster in a few days!! I got him about a week ago and he's been in a beginner cage. Way too small. Can't wait to see him run around in this!!

So excited that I found your channel and all the other helpful hamster channels! I am getting my first hamster as an adult (had one as a small child but my parents cared for it) in 2 weeks. My coworkers accidentally had babies so I get one! I had no idea what to feed it or how big the cage needed to be. Thank you for educating me! Before even watching this video, I found this cage online and purchased it! So excited for it to come in and set it up before my hammy is ready for adoption!

That is exactly what I use for a sand bath for my hamster!! I found mine at Goodwill for $1! Marvin uses it as a potty, but I'm not complaining for east clean up!!

I bought this cage for my Syrian Hamster 🐹 because of your review. Julian from petsmart who turned out to be Julie (go figure). That in itself baffled me. Where do they get their hamsters? 🐹 No hamster adoption available in my area. I've chosen this cage because I wanted interaction through the fencing. Thank you for your great 👍review. 😁

WAIT I JUST NOTICED - You can get a similar in size version of this cage from Pets at home in England for around £35, although it IS advertised as an indoor, temporary, cage for a small rabbit.

Since you were saying you didn't know if dwarves would like this cage, I thought I would mention that my Robo lives in the 528 and he loves it. He even uses the platform and some hanging chews and toys

I have this cage and didn't want my hamster to slip on the ramp. I went to the Dollar Store, bought a cloth placemat, cut it out to size for both the ramp and the loft, glued it on and now there is padding!

I have a small Syrian hamster that has a humongous cage and stuff that she can climb on inside but she tries desperately to get out sometimes, she is scared of humans but I try to work with her as best as I can, I actually adopted her from petco and I know that isn’t the ideal place but she was pacing scratching the glass climbing the water bottle inside her cage at petco so I took her out of that situation and I wonder what kind of experience she had to be so afraid of humans

Is this cages plastic hard enough for a plastic loving gerbil??? She desperately needs an upgrade because at the time that I got her I was not properly informed about a gerbils care but I love her so much I want her to be extremely happy.

I saw this same cage at my pet shop for 100, and i went instead for a small wire cage and i regret it so much! Theres only 276 sq of space and its the second cage I buy to make it bigger, im getting discouraged... i need to resell these small wire cages to afford this big cage

Hello! Fellow hamster owner here! I was wondering if a robo dwarf hamster could be housed in this cage. I'm sure my winter white won't get out through the bars. But I'm worried that my robo dwarf might escape out of the bars. If anyone has an answer, please reply!! I want to keep my hamsters safe. :))

It's so sad that this would be considered a guinea pig cage. If you don't know, guinea pigs need WAY more space.

I actually have this cage! I was surprised because it was bigger than I thought it was when I bought it! I don’t regret it and my Syrian hamster adores it!💕

I’ve never even seen or heard of this cage before, but they should definitely sell these in pet stores! Also I don’t know if Ms. Frizzle is a big chewer or not, but that could play a part as to why she keeps biting the bars (even though she has so many chew toys which makes no sense.) She could just be very active as well and will want to get out no matter what cage she is in!

I have that exact cage and I cannot tell you how happy my hamster was when she went from a tiny two floor kaytee cage to that one. She wasn't biting the bars anymore, she had a way larger wheel, and you could tell by her body language that she was comfortable and happy.

I am SO happy you're doing an unboxing of this cage! I remember seeing it when I was looking to upgrade my guy but I wasn't sure of the bar spacing so I stayed away. Definitely going to consider this for any hamsters I get in the (very far) future

I live in Australia so hamsters are not allowed because they are considered as pests (which is totally wrong) but I have two wonderful guinea pigs which I spoil and love with all my heart they are my best friends! But still I watch ur vids because they are amazing and some of the things like chew toys are also used for guinea pigs! I luv ur channel and ur content keep on working hard!!❤️❤️

Where I live that is the *bare minimum* for dwarfs 😂

I let my hamster run around my room and I let him decide when he wanted to go in his cage. The only time I would put him in locked up is when I left the house just for safety. I made a cardboard maze and we had toys and different obstacles around the room to entertain him when we slept. I also slept on a mattress on the the floor so he would climb up and down. He really loved that. I think what is important is letting them explore with supervision and lining your doorways and walls so they can't hurt themselves. When I would come home from work, my hamster would greet me because he would hear me come in, climb out of his cage and run to my feet. It was adorable!

I go this cage and I didn't realize how big it was my mom wasn't happy about it but I kept stressing to her that it was a good size for my robo she thought 200 feet was enough for him

I'm planning on getting my syrian a barred cage too. She absolutely loves climbing and I feel like it's mean of me to deny her that in a tank. I can't wait to get her something that she'd enjoy much more than her tank. :)

omg I literally am here crying like a damn idiot the moment you put your baby into their new house. To be totally honest , when I had my first dwarf hamster many years ago, she did not have a cage. I carried her with me everywhere and she had a little carrier where I would put her in to eat and drink. I also had a makeshift pen so that I could sit with her and she can be in safe grass or an environment that was new. Her name was Lily and she never ran away from me. she would come when I called her and it got to the point that if we were out and she was on a table or something, I used to carry her to school with me, I would call her name and she would come back over to me and go into my hands or my pockets. Before, I never understood the concept keeping animals in cages, and now that I have three dogs, one of them being a Shiba Inu [ an old Japanese breed with a wicked hide prey drive], I need to keep my new baby somewhere safe if the dogs are about and want to interact with me. I definitely understand why it's important for them to have their own home. thanks to your videos, I will be buying this house for my Pepper. she's so beautiful and patient and even though she had not been handled a lot, she's already bonded to me animal go into my hand and climb up my chest sit on my neck. I like that you can also take the top off so if I take her out to the yard I can use it as a hutch. thank you so much for this. also I love your videos. You are so hilarious

i actually have prevue's largest bird cage (the Hendryx) for my tiny celestial parrotlet, he loves the space so much! plus it's easier to clean that his old cage (the one he came in was very small, i'm keeping it as a carrier for when we move) I don't get why so many people think small equals easier to clean/ it's generally the opposite for me.

This is the cage I got! My Syrian mochi loves this cage but I dont use the second level because she didn't like it. More hanging toys for mochi! Haha I'm glad you like it and are promoting it! It's a wonderful good priced cage!

I have the same cage for my hamster Basil.I love my hamster so much!When I found out the cage that I had was to small it made so much sense!Basil had been biting on the wires and becoming very scared when we took her out!This cage made her stop biting and she became so much happier!My hamster is a Syrian and it is a great size!Please take notice of these things to keep your hammy safe!
