They sent me to a pain clinic in a strip mall. The Dr spent about 10 seconds total on my issues - tendon damage and arthritis in hands and feet. No mention of my recent heart attack even tho my blood pressure was 172 over 113, hypertensive critical. She had me raise each leg, raise each arm and bend and rotate at waist then waved goodbye. I was there a whole 6-7 minutes. Joke of a med exam.

I am a real stickler to the EXACT time of my appointment and the EXACT amount of time I'll be inconvenienced. I walked out of a doctors interview when I arrived at his office just about the time designated and he had me wait for almost an hour, before I got up and left. As I explained to his secratary, I can't sit or stand or breathe for that matter, and that my time for the exam was spent. I noticed on the way out that it was a printout , simple font, on the door saying this was his office. 1 desk, 1 fake plant. When I asked how many patients he was seeing besides me, she said I was the dr.'s 1 and only patient.

So what happened? Did you tell your doctor what happened, I mean they are the one who referred you to the exam. How did you walk out if you can’t stand or sit … or breathe? How’d you get there? What else was going on that was more important that your disability that prevents you from breathing? Btw if you have an actual disability, a doctors appointment or disability exam is not an inconvenience.

I'm only 26 I never thought being so young I would need to apply! Past nine months I've been going through pain flares, fatigue, my weight was 130 pounds now I'm 102. It's dropped 28 pounds. I have chronic bone pain. I had a CT scan x-ray on my TMJ Jaw. It showed bone erosion, damage in the joint. I was diagnosed by a Rheumatologist degenerative arthritis. Also known as joint disease. Usually affects older people. In my case I have it early!!!! He thinks from my premature birth. I was born a 1 pound baby, have done so well most of my life. Now my eye sights being awkward like colors are dull and floaters. I have ROP stage 3. It's an eye condition that affects preemies of low birth weight. I can only work a 3 hour shift daily due to pain which causes me anxiety. The mental anguish of all of it has caused depression. Actually I went to a check up for depression and my blood pressure was sky high they're surprised since I'm a small person and when they hit a rubber thing for a reflex he told me.......... You might need neurology. I was like whattttt! I came in for depression I never expected an answer like that I thought he was just gonna say yep you have depression, send me on my way. I haven't seen a neurologist yet. Now I'm really confused! I don't know if social security will send me to a doctor or not I've never been through the process.

I was born with a rare disability called moebius syndrome (permanent facial paralysis that affects cranial nerves in the brain and lateral eye movement) as well as I have depression/anxiety/ADHD. I have an exam to go to in about 2 weeks and I'm super nervous. I was born with this disability and it's permanent, so I'm 90% sure I'll get it because this disability isn't going away anytime soon lol. But I'm just so freaking nervous. :( Hope it all goes well! I don't have my records with me and I don't think they want anything but for me to fail. I'll watch the next video mentioned above, but I'm not optimistic. I'm on round 2 with the judge... I'm not hopeful... but I'm trying to make sure I'm approved. What I don't understand is WHY they will not cocider ANY of my medical from the first case they denied all the way threw the judge... they want to see that my health problems will persist... they said no go work... I did it hospitalized me... now they won't concider that fact??? I have an undiagnosed health issue that's causing systemic and autonomic neurological issues as well as cognitive impairment. I'm loosing me hearing and this last week my eye sight went horrid literally over night. Sooooooo according to them I'm fine

Hi Katie There is legal term for this but I do not recall what it is … In layman's terms if you had a prior case and Social Security decided on it then all evidence in that case was considered. Once you open a new case it is based on solely new evidence medical records support letters from doctors etc.
@katiedangelo404

@@TheDisabilityDigest basically that's what was explained... but here's the problem my disability didn't go away the issues I have are the SAME problems for the last 30 years. They want proof that the illness is not going to get better yet won't look at prior medical to see that not only did I not improve but returning to work exasperated the problems and ultimately hospitalized me.... but that fact doesn't matter... it's stupid it's a hole in the laws

Still taking meds though .Just Recently (in the last two months ) I had an Mri that shows I have Measial Temperal Sclerosis (scaring on the brain) Which my neurologist thiuks may have caused my seizures 35 yrs ago .This was the first Mri I ve ever had on my brain .but my neurologist wants to take me off my meds because she says long term Dil;antin use is not good for you.And as i said ive been on it well over 35 yrs . But in order to be weined off seizure meds you have to give up your drivers lic for a year .if at any time during that year you have an episode your time starts over .So theoredically i could be 10 mo. into my year and have to start over . putting me almost 2 yrs without a driver licence . thats really not feasable .When the judge asked me about my seizures i said they havent affected me since 1986..Sorry i was so long winded ..Im just soooo frustrated overe this .Thanks for taking the time to read my comments

I was seen by 3 different doctors befre I was approved. The physical exams seem to be cursory exams for them to see my disability. I was asked to walk several times, I was also asked to show them what I can do with my left hand(nothing) and that was it. I had two of those and finally saw a shrink, he asked me questions about my mental state. It was the longest exam of the three. About 90 days after I completed the exams and all the paperwork I received word that I had een approved, I started getting monthly checks(deposits)

It’s just the bad people ruining it for all of the well meaning ones like me. I can’t help questioning why some people’s exams only lasted 10 or 15 minutes and mine was about four hours. Why would this doctor not have my medical records? I’m being by referred to this exam doctor by my doctors. So why wouldn’t they have access to them? In fact the video I watched before this one, the person giving advice said that they will have my medical records. So of course just more confusing information. “Rules of the game” that’s so screwed up that you have to say that when it comes to a persons life.
@TheDisabilityDigest
@TheDisabilityDigest Месяц назад
I understand your frustration and confusion. The process of applying for disability benefits can be complex and sometimes overwhelming. When you're referred to a consultative exam by the Social Security Administration (SSA), the doctor conducting the exam should have access to your medical records. However, sometimes there can be delays or issues in transferring these records. It's always a good idea to bring a copy of your medical records with you to the exam, just in case. This can help ensure that the doctor has all the necessary information to accurately assess your condition. For more information on what to expect during a consultative exam, you can watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CTGDOosUzAg.html Remember, we're here to support you.
