He's not so much of a character he's like a serious foreign athlete who stays humble and out of spotlight. Plus he is a flatground monster but you never reach real status until you pull some memorable trick onl rad spots or something
kind of feel like its a little his own fault tho, not hating I'm a fan, but hes been without board and shoes sponsor for years and for sure hes gotten asked to ride for people, even said so in the interview but for some reason still no sponsors. Hes too good to be without sponsors, its weird. Seems like the nicest and coolest dude too. hope he lands on some good companys soon and get some more recognition!
It’s already an insane feat to be a professional skateboarder being an immigrant and coming to america and pursue your dream is even harder! Mad respect to my boy Sewa you deserve everything you have!
Met him skating in Barcelona a long time ago, he was killing it so hard already back then, and this was in like 08 I believe. His skating is so precise and perfected that you wouldn't immediately assume he's such a cool and funny dude.

These videos really humanize these pro skaters that you only see highlights of the only the best they are capable of, or the worst slams. I love these stories, they are inspiring. Sewa has always seems to be one of the most humble people, and his story explains what made him that way. I have even more respect for him now.
1:15:24 I agree with Sewa on the editing and production of Blind videos. After "What If" I feel like the standard dropped dramatically and was incredibly damaging to the image of the company. I mean the skating was top notch, but the editing was absolutely dreadful. I remember having a premiere of the "The Blind Video" at my friend's house and we ended up turning off the video halfway through because we just couldn't stand the poor music choice and editing. "Damn" sort of went back to a better editing policy, but afterwards it seemed like Blind returned back to form, in my opinion part due to the company suffering from a crisis of identity which came across in its videos and team-riders.
Got bored and watched some "C-Rob" compilations and damn I forgot how good dude was. Balanced grinds and smooth manual shit! Totally unrelated to this video but vid got me hyped lol.
Sewa is one of my favorite skaters, so happy to see him on Nine Club! I couldn't help but notice the mouse that Chris has. I have the same one and it's the best-made wireless desktop mice I've ever had! Good taste in skating and equipment! Great show :)

I really enjoyed hearing everything about his amazing story to where he is today, maybe because I'm European myself and kinda felt it a little bit more. But my dudes, a literal fu*k you for getting impatient with his story where he's obviously proud about himself and where he didn't reply with short concise answers. Come on.....

You guys should absolutely start releasing videos for pros. You have the audience. I know that is a ton of work with music rights and figure out their share of pay, but right now there’s really only a couple companies that have the reach to be effective. Could really help boost the nine club as a brand too.

I can imagine Sewa on DGK, April, Primitive or Plan B, or a brand like Quasi or Polar. He has that sort of precise technical skating and can do mannys, ledges and flat ground just perfectly. I can’t see him on Girl or Chocolate for example, they have those tech wizards but they aren’t his kinda vibe. Obviously all the Baker, Deathwish, zero etc wouldn’t work either and he’s not hipster enough for Hockey/FA. Would love to see him on a team again though or with a pro board/board company backing him

I get sewa calling himself out on the toe drag. Integrity aside, had he not called himself out and won, someone would've noticed the toe drag calling the match into question. Who knows maybe he wouldn't have won, or if called out later the berrics could always scheduled a rematch. I personally would've kept my mouth shut lol.
