Thanks for the kind words about my company, Mt. Hope Fabrics. Great job on the dress, that’s definitely a nice addition to a capsule wardrobe (term borrowed from Megan Fox 😊) Personally, I love the belt. Just a hint about patterns, if you have a pattern you use a lot, cut yourself a pattern out of some old fabric that you don’t want for anything else. Ideally, a piece of knit that isn’t too stretchy. You can lay it on and it will stay put. That way you can leave the jars, mugs, or knives where they belong. 😅 I’ve done that for many years. It’s a time saver when cutting.
great idea!! I will have to try that! Thank you so much for stopping by! I really love your shop and next time I am in Ohio I will definitely stop in!! I have family in that area. :)
I also saw Megan Fox’s original video and then after watching you do it as well, I’m now trying my hand at it!! So easy and simple so far, especially since I’m fairly new to sewing!
Hi I saw your name and comment over on Megan's channel and I liked your screen name/title name so stopped by to see what's what! I like that dress a lot, it does look simple although I don't really know how to sew I'd definitely wear one like it. Isn't it nice to have a daughter's input? Have a great rest of the day I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more! (PS I appreciate that you went slowly I'm a slow learner it was much easier to understand your directions)
I'm so glad you stopped over AND subscribed!! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. I know what you mean, I love it when people go slowly and I can actually see what they are doing!
I love your dress! Do you know which pattern you ordered? It looks like the “sack dress”, but there are a few styles so I wasn’t sure. Also, how did you decide which size to order? Thanks! ☺️
Yes, sorry I forgot to specify! I did order the Sack dress. I ordered the size 6-8 one. I am 5'5 and 135 if that gives a point of reference. I would normally wear that size. If you are doing the knit, then there is room :-)
