I ❤️ this series. It really opened my eyes as to the high fashion designs that I can make. It’s nothing wrong with transforming the well known designs into my clothing. After all no one is recreating the wheel. Some of the dresses are the basic shirt dress. It’s the fabric that makes the difference. It pays to invest in quality fabric to get these designs. Why pay $1500 for a dress when you can make it for Pennie’s on the dollars ( these days it would be more than pennies, but it wouldn’t be $1500 ). Again, GREAT series, it really woke up the sewist in me. I don’t need to be limiting myself in my “me makes”. 🌸🌸🌸

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, I agree! I'm not paying $1900 for a dress I can clearly make for under $50 with the right fabric.

That’s a very good idea of yours to analyse high fashion design and how to copy it with a smaller pocket. But the right and high quality FABRIC is my biggest problem.

I totally agree! I'm struggling to find a really nice wool knit fabric to recreate that Astrid DVF wrap dress. You just can't find any good quailty high fashion fabrics like the ones you see on these designer websites. It's frustrating. But I guess we'll have to make due with what we can find 🤷🏾‍♀️.
