Oh Ruth, l also love your videos. Without fail, always so interesting and informative. I also really appreciate your warmth and sense of humour too. Love how you make your plans! Ellie and Mac has a free pattern for a large beach tote and a sew along on RU-vid. I made it as a travel bag and it is really nice and big.

Great planning! I’d be interested in the Atelier Jupe Este shirt - I have the pattern but haven’t made it yet. The Olya shirt is really good and is a different construction from most shirts I’ve made. I’d make it in a stable fabric the first time you make it - it’s a little fiddly.

Ruth, what a thoughtful way to go about planning your sewing. I've become more of a" planner" with my sewing lately, which does help keep me focused (if I stick to it. LOL!) I've made a couple of the Toaster Sweaters and I really like them! Good luck with your plans!

I love the jarrah sweater, I’ve made a few versions including using lightweight tshirt material and is very versatile so definitely recommend! I have only recently started making notes and tbh it’s just so I remember what to talk about on vlogs 😂

We need lots of summer things here in Ontario Canada.. It is 30 degrees celsius & humid.. continuing for the next week or so.. ..I feel like dishrag.. haha HAve fun with your makes.. you can wear your Nell dresses all day.. Nice and cool, I'd think..

Chalk and notch have the sun tote that’s big and I believe it’s a free download. Christine at sewing in the city also has a huge tote bag pattern, can’t remember if it’s free though. Happy sewing!

I don't really plan my sewing. I tend to be influenced by whatever gorgeous fabric I have to hand and just sew that up. Guthrie and Ghani have a lovely bag pattern called the Luskentyre which sounds like it would fit the bill. Bag making is a lot of fun. I am currently making the Cousette Musette bag in a floral curtain fabric (!!!) which will be ideal for a weekend away.
