I was soooo excited to see you have a new pleater! I sew heirloom so this is something I use all the time. The RU-vid channel “Sarah classic sewing” has tons of videos of very thorough detailed pleater instructions, she covers literally everything And “pink holly bush designs” also has some pleater tutorials and sells replacement needles that work in the pleater you have. Both of the women have been pleating and smocking for many years and every time I see someone who is doing some type of heirloom sewing I send them over. The dress was gorgeous and I love seeing people using the pleaters in more than just little baby and children clothing.
This set is so cute! The fabric is gorgeous and it looks beautiful on it's own and will be so versatile under many items like pinafores, corsets, sleeveless dresses...
Reminds me I should really pull out my pleater. I went through a whole English smocking period. Wouldn't have thought to use it for this project but it does give me ideas.
Yeah I feel like there are a lot of interesting ways to used a smocker pleater, idk if this on was it but I'm always on the lookout for ways to use it!
Very pretty! I sometimes like to use edge embroidery for sleeve ends. I just make it a tiny bit longer and add elastic about an inch or two up to get a poofy sleeve with a fun ruffle
Thank you so much for this! I’m considering making knitted and crocheted items for sale and this not only reinforces my thinking on prices but it helps me explain how I get to the numbers I’m thinking of!
I love the use of the eyelet for the bottom of the skirt and sleeves. It looks really comfortable, yet dressy on you and is very flattering. So pretty!
Where did you get that cardigan with the snail buttons. It is so cute and to tell you the truth I LOVE bright pretty colors. NO grey in this girls house!!!
@@HaleyMarieVintage I looked for one with snail buttons but unfortunately there isn't one. I almost bought one with Bee buttons very cute cardigan but then I saw it is a child's cardigan. Guess I will just keep an eye out. Thanks for replying. Take care love your videos.
This is so beautiful! I love how it turned out, especially with the gathers at the hips only on the skirt. :D If you were going to add pockets to this, how would you have done that?
