Young men and women in The Gambia are turning to prostitution to stay out of poverty. But is it really worth it?
@ebrimadem5287
@ebrimadem5287 5 лет назад
Is not worth it. Gambians must put the right people in office starting with the president the ministers and All pple with power the government need to put deterrents in place to address the tourism industry that look we can't exploits our young generation for your fancy dolars or Euros and also let the public notice that anyone found guilty in such acts will pay the full price that will serve as an example for others not to try such an act...

No, it is not worth it. There is a certain person on YT/FB/IG who is promoting sex tourism in Uganda for the past two years ever since he started going there. Now he is looking to do the same in Kenya. If you are interested in knowing who this dangerous and creepy American who is doing this in East Africa let me know.

They do. They don't want to be poor anymore and I don't blame them. You don't provide the people with opportunities they will take the ones they can. Stop selling the countries out and expect them to settle into suffering. I only care about the children so for that reason they should stop the sexualization of the reputation towards the Country. Even someone seeing this video will believe it's a place to fuck. It will be good news for a predator but the decent tourists won't want anything to do with this Country so to not be associated or labeled

Gambia was the First Colony Of The British in Africa in crica 1790.This happened after the Americans threw out the British from the newly independent USA.1776-1789. Modern Gambia is even older than Nigeria.Gambia also has a direct great link with the Great African Empire of Mali of which its son and Emperor Mansa Musa(probably one the richest men to have walked the surface of the Earth.).Lastly, Gambia's capital was called formerly Bathurst. The British exploited Old Gambia from the 17th century in the evil trade of Atlantic Slavery. Millions were shipped to the USA and Latin America and millions drowned in the Atlantic. This is known as the African Holocaust. Lastly, Gambia was one of the Original Signatories to ECOWAS(Economic Community Of West African States). In addendum Jollof Rice was invented in Senegal/Gambia,infact the name Jollof rice comes from the name of the river in SeneGambia called Jollof River.

@witness for Jesus I was going to give you silence, which obviously is the best answer for a fool, but looking at the name you call yourself, I think you deserve to be answered. You call yourself 'witness for Jesus' and you could say something you don't have any evidence on against someone you don't even know. Is that how your Jesus taught you. You are such a big disappointment and disgrace to christianity, to America and to Jesus you attach yourself with. Such an ignorant person like you will definitely rubbish the gospel of christ with your racist words and actions, so shameful. Go and make research about the most educated immigrant community in the United States, and the fact that we have people who commit crimes in a certain community doesn't mean we should see the whole people like that. I will not bring up any mess about white people because of an idiot like you, but I will just appreciate it if you will kindly disconnect the line between your anus and mouth and put the line on your brain so that you will be able to think with your brain before you talk, and not your asshole anymore. Hope to read from you again. Bye for now, penny ass prostitute.

I agree. They have one big advantage: they are a Muslim country and they are still in touch with traditional African values, so alcohol is not very popular. Most African countries that have problems with crime and violence do so because of high degree of alcohol and drug consumption. Alcohol degenerates people and South Africa for example has the highest rate of fetal alcoholic syndrome (babies being born with lifelong cognitive defects due to their mother's alcohol consumption during pregnancy).

Also the government should do more to protect the youngs and innocents.

Bravo to the 77 percent. The key to opportunity is creating it for ourselves. The golden rule is whoever has the gold rules. When we creat wealth the we control the laws that protect our values. I agree, it was great , everyone nailed it, the only ugly think about the interview is the one guy trying to blame other Africans ( Nigerian, ghanéens, Sierra Leoneans etc) for keeping sex tourism alive in Gambia , If he is saying it, it means others in Gambia are saying it as well, when in facts it’s the Gambians doing it for many reasons, poverty being number 1( that include lack of jobs , etc) . We all can agree that the Europeans are the ones coming to Gambia for sex, pedophilia etc, things they can’t do in Europe and get away with. let’s stop always blaming other Africans for our actions and take responsibility. Africans are always known for that, whenever there is certain type of problem they can’t fix, they blame other African countries for it, We have seen it in South African where they’ve always blamed other African citizens living in South Africa for taking their jobs. And I know many other Africans countries who’s always blaming their neighbors country for something. Africa is for all Africans, let’s find a way to fix the many issues the continent is facing.

Thank you for shedding light on this disgusting topic. This has been occurring for decades, since I was a child I saw some friends and other little children chasing after tourist simply because some have never seen white people, and others are just infatuated (also believe they are rich) Of course that chase does not always end well. Some tourist come under the guise of adopting and that goes left as well sometimes. People are left with HIV/AIDS, etc. I was born and raised in The Gambia but born to Sierra-Leonian- Nigerian parents, but I was denied citizenship because none of my parents were Gambian, but a tourist could birth a child there and be granted citizenship if she so chooses. Tourist truly are more privileged than the natives.
