Building up this matt black super sexy Salsa Fargo for my partner. This is a full build video and I will be testing in the next video.

I also include a review of the brilliant 12 speed Microshift Shifters and Paul Components Thumbies. Please Paul keep making the Thumbies. They are ace! or Microshift do some top of the bar 12 speed levers with a 31.8 clamp as well as your straight bar ones cause I love changing gear at the top as with flared bars the bar ends can be vulnerable to knocks and this method solves that problem.

Hello, I have the same bike frame (salso fargo), but I have a problem with my 11 speed cassette, End cap it is too short, it is compressed when I attach the wheel to the frame. maybe you can advise me how to solve this problem. maybe you can give me your e-mail, I will send you pictures, I will ask you to understand. I bought the cassette as indicated in the hub (Sram NX PG-1130 11 Speed Cassette 11-42). Hub- Halo superdrive 120 (HG mtb Cr-Mo) . are you changing End cap to longer ones? because in Salso frames, where the wheel is attached, the mounting ends are different. thanks for any help!

Hello, from your description. I am not sure which bit is too “short “. If you mean the hub then you might have the wrong Salsa Alternator Dropouts for the hub. They do a couple of versions for quick release / 142 and 148. If you mean the cassette is too loose then you might need to use a cassette spacer. Other brands make them but here is Halos spacer www.halowheels.com/shop/spares/hub-spares/cassette-spacer-2

@@RidingBicycles hello ,Hola's online article shows a diagram of what hub is needed for 11-speed cassettes. (Halo Bicycle Cycle Bike GXC / MTC And RD2 Supadrive CM Freehubs Red - Shimano HG) . At that time I have smallest sprocket for 7 speed. I'm just not sure if I need shorter end cap!? thank you for the help)

Umm I am afraid I would contact your hub supplier to see if they can help without actual seeing your products/problem it is difficult to help. But depending on the hub manufacturer they do make different hub caps to fit different dropout sizes.

@@RidingBicycles (157 HG Rear Wheels ) hi! I have 157 versions, this is probably my mistake, buying this diameter. they hardly fit into the frames. I will try to return them to the seller. and what versions of hub 148-142 do you have? front and rear. Thank you!

My Salsa Alternator dropouts are 148 (boost). If you bought your frame new this is probably what they came with, but just measure them to be sure as the very practical thing about the dropouts is you can change them (the black part) to fit 142 and even 135 quick release. Your front fork will be boost 15 x 110 too if it is new and carbon (Firestarter Delux). This Salsa page has all the essential measurements and sizes for your bike.
