Vaughn totally loves Rhys. it's all over the games xD First he's all 'oh Rhys you need ten million dollars? Yeah sure I got you' and is more than willing to go down to Pandora with you and keep the money tethered to him, constantly relying on you to get them through anything. Then there's the betrayal, sure, but he's so sorry about that and didn't mean it. If you don't forgive him he looks so distraught. Then when the girls are finally being nicer to you and like you, Vaughn gets jealous and sulks for a bit until you hug it out and assure him you're always going to be at his side no matter what. Then at the end everyone is worshipping Rhys (the Children of Helios) and I'm sure that's at least partially Vaughn's doing because like, he knew a lot of the story, he could have spun it differently if he wanted but nope. And he found Rhys's arm and was all upset. Also every time something happens, it's "RHYS" this and "RHYS" that. Vaughn trusts Rhys implicitly. I love their bromance. I feel like it could be romance but it's never expressly stated - but maybe in season 2. Also I've heard rumors that Rhys might be the main villain in Borderlands 3? And I'm confused? Like nowhere in this is Rhys a villain? He's a clumsy, dorky nice guy with high ambitions and he's a little selfish sometimes but like, he always comes through for his friends and has a plan. I just can't see him being the bad guy. And if they try to force it I'm going to be pissed.
@@NeroPawz aw man it's honestly so sad. i feel like before i say what i'm about to say i have to put a disclaimer so cancel culture doesn't come at me for being "homophobic" (cuz i'm not lol) but i was so digging the rhys and sasha shenanigans. borderlands the pre sequel and tales are tied for my two favorite borderlands games, rhys and jack are my two favorite characters. borderlands 3 really screwed over the tales crew which is really upsetting because i really liked them all, and 2 killed jack meaning he's not in 3. i don't think 3 is like 100% awful but...the story could've been so much better and it's a lot of weird new crap that ig not many people are a huge huge fan of. it's good in the mechanics and new features but some of them are just ugh. story is my main issue.
i've seen this video like 10 times a day and i just can't understand why this didn't make it into the game. but, whatever the reason was, we can take this as Vaughn was gay or at least bi. anyway, i didn't see a bit of interest for any girl in the game :^(maybe bc they were mean to him?

I think Vaughn's trying to say that he's not straight (bisexual maybe?) and that he likes Rhys. It sounds like there was something sexual going on between him and Zach, but what exactly happened is a bit unclear.
That makes no sense. If they didn't want him saying the F word, then they would've just recorded it without him saying it. No, the reason they didn't use this dialogue is because originally they were gonna have Vaughn be secretly in love with Rhys and in the end, Vaughn was to be the villain. They scrapped the whole idea (obviously).
