Daigo has the best fireball game of all time. Amazing spacing and unpredictable timing. Tokido right now is a step ahead in the other areas. He utilizes the parry as shown in Taiwan and at CEO. Tokido is also better at imposing his will through his normals.
You said it. Different strengths. I dislike people saying stuff like: "Tokido's Ryu is better than Daigo's ryu". Oh really? In reality it's all about player match ups. Not character match ups.
Tokido clutched this out. He kept his poise and didn't stray to much from his gameplay. The patient spacing and fireball game between him and Daigo was very interesting watch.
Does someone have a link to the video where Tokido Vs Daigo are both playing Ryu on the stage with Bison in the background and first Tokido almost perfects Daigo, Daigo makes a big come back and Tokido wins the round?!

You don't really watch ryu vs ryu matches expecting crazy combos... not in SFV or SFIV, the hypest this will get is when daigo gets thrown off his game and stops his crazy fireball control and slow game, it might be lame to watch but hey that's Ryu, go watch Infiltration vs Momochi and tell me about poke.
+Ben Kh lol are you stupid, we come here to watch how it will be, how else are we going to know if it's going to be boring or not, and the SF community is not so great for. the looks of it and it's all because of how poorly SFV is doing right now, bad launch, still unfinished game, was made more basic so that casuals would get into it, never attracted casuals and was mainly bought by dedicated plauers therefore less sales and is now seen as a boring game for many people because it's so basic, the most hype this game ever gets now is from reveal trailers, it's possible that this game could very well start to die maybe a few months after Juri and Urien are out, the only way I can see this game living on is if it keeps having updates and or eventually gets made into Super SFV.

The implication of my previous comment is that, we dont go about posting NEGATIVE comments (like the one that guy and YOU are currently doing) to the games we dont like. I for the life of me, HATE Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Injustice and find MANY FAULTS in their gameplay. But i dont go about posting bullshit on their videos. Its always better to be quiet than to say some random negative shit like you just did. WE KNOW SFV aint PERFECT, But we like it and we enjoy the 'META GAME'. No game is perfect. Get over it. I don't agree with Ultrachen that Daigo and Tokido are playing different styles, I just think Tokido maximizes Ryu a little more than Daigo.Ryu in V is way different from past Ryus.
yes you can. it people that weight more and dont look as big compare to people who are more musclar and weigh less. 187 pounds is the perfect weight for a 5' 9' person.
I used to be cheering for Daigo as a fan, but since i came across the documentary about Tokido and how Daigo hired a kid and beat him everyday in the game considering he was Tokido 😂 it just kind of made me a fan of Tokido then. He worked so hard to beat Daigo for years man. 🔥
It almost like Daigo threw the match, 12:44 He knows that the only thing to do against a (V-trigger activated) full charge hadoken on wake up is to jump immediatly (he would have take some damage but would have fall far from tokido) yet he didn't do it...
The hell, i always pictured a Jonah Hill looking announcer, but the guy is Asian n all that, there's nothing wrong with that just saying. He is a great announcer tho really good never would've thought someone can bring that energy for a video game good job Jonah voice guy.
Why all the sfv hate? Let me say something positive this game is awesome free everything with great graphics and its fun. I played IV since vanilla, all I like better for IV is a tad more cooler looking characters, for instance I dont really care for Mika or Rashid or Laura or etc I want Akuma, Cody, and Sagat. But other than that I like V more than IV.
It's frustrating to see Daigo take too long to do anything besides throw fireballs. It's obvious when he really started to "move forward" during v-trigger, it paid off so much. If only he could do more without v-trigger active too /:
Indeed. I'm a Daigo dickrider through and through, but looking back at this match I'm glad he lost to Tokido here, as we get to witness an epic of a Grand Finals, probably the best set of SFV so far imo. Happy for Tokido to finally win a Premier and get that 2nd/3rd place finishes off his back, if there's one person right now who absolutely deserved to win one, it's definitely him.
that was a close fight. i wish they have long set. hehehe.. im really happy daigo is really underdog at this point of time but this sfv exposed too much on him.Daigo will reign this sfv. its jsut another timeline of sf4 era.
