Nice vid. I think because they did foreshadow Nicolai's darker struggle they will incorporate KoS and maybe even RoW material. Since that involves dealings with Fjerda and so does the SoC journey to the Ice Court I feel like that is a good tie in. Just my guess. Thanks for your analysis.
Lizaveta had A HUGE role in the king of scars duology she literally made zoya what zoya will become to be queen and ahem ahem other stuff. That bee arc is very important to the story of Nikolai Zoya kirigan and ravka cuz le fold
@@TheNerdDoc kind of but I think baghrad SCREEN time or Page time was reduced her role however remains the same and just as important, the story can't move forward without her. I think lizaveta will have less screen time as expected but her contribution to the plot and her actions are vital for progression of the king of scars plotlines and especially Nikolai and zoyas story
@@azanmuhammad2980 I agree with you. Let's just hope the creators feel the same. I do think if there are changes made there, they will still push the characters forward in similar ways. So far most of the changes have been pretty respectful of the source material
@@TheNerdDoc the showrunners have said they want to separate the crows into their own show and have already written the script for a six of crows spinoff, its just depends on nexflix to greenlight it
@Lina Day I saw the interview, but the way I interpreted it was that Six of Crows would be season three, with bits of King of Scars. It seemed to me as though Newsweek was speculating that it would be a spin-off, instead of taking Heisserer's words at face value. Six of Crows could certainly be its own thing, but given how the Crows have been well integrated into the first two seasons, it would make sense for King of Scars to be sprinkled into Six of Crows as well. Hopefully we'll get a clear answer soon enough though
@@TheNerdDoc "The Six of Crows spin-off "would be its own little season of fun that our characters would get to be a part of," Heisserer says. And with Fryklind shouldering the showrunning duties on the mothership show, the idea would be to run both Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone simultaneously." this is from Entertainment weekly! my understanding is Six of crows would be like season 2.5, with the timeline of the main show and this spinoff being the same
@@TheNerdDoc "There's a lot of work that's gone into the planning of this. The hope is then we get to act on that planning," Heisserer says. "But of course, it's about how well season 2 numbers do. And if so, then Daegan and I will continue to carry the mantle of both shows, which is also helpful because we have a lot of mouths to feed" - in terms of giving screen time to all the actors. "To be able to give them their own real estate so they have elbow room allows us to go deeper on some of these character arcs." this quote i think makes it very clear it would be its own show too!
Im so excited to see the events of Six of Crows to play out in a possible spinoff. But i was a little disappointed about the Fake-Plaque Storyline in the Show. In my opinion there werent enough consequences of the plaque shown. Ketterdam was supposed to be in complete chaos and turned the whole city upside down. I loved how Kaz ruled over the chaos. For a city that is terrified of deseases there were just too little of consequences…
I enjoyed them in season one. Season two they kind of felt a bit secondary since there wasn't a lot of movement there. I am interested to see what happens with them next though
Zoya, bad girl! You did not protect the bodyy😅 also Nina's character evolution needs some work to become more meaningful and aligned with the main plot 😊
The quality of this show fell off a cliff when comparing it to the first season which felt more cinematic and grand. This second season was so poorly written, poorly directed with horrendous production quality. Such a shame this series had so much potential.
I think it's safe to say the budget was lower for season two, and it leaned more into the YA side of things, having less focus on some of the fantasy elements. It's following the books though, so you can't fault the show for that. They made some good changes, but the underlying story still remains.
You clearly didn't enjoy it, and that's fine. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion. However, the show is currently number one on Netflix, and the creators have clearly planned for a third season. So the likelihood of season three happening is fairly high at the moment. You don't have to watch it though.
I thought it was fantastic, i started episode 1 and kept watching it whenever i had free time until episode 8. Can't wait for season 3 but I think its more like 2025, since s1 2021/2023/2025 trend february 2025. april 2021 for season 1, march 2023 for season 2 and feb 2025 for season 3, but if it comes out like 2024 like you say, that would be sick too!
