Shadow Man (1999) once had a graphically enhanced version that was developed for the Geforce 256, or at the time under the "NV10" project. This version of the game featured higher poly models, better textures, improved lighting and shadows, more level detail and much more.
The story goes that the build was accidentally deleted after every work desktop was backed-up and its data was moved over to newer hardware, but the IT worker failed to check if the back-ups were successful before deleting everything off the old desktops... They were not.
Fast-forward twenty-three years later and a partially completed build was recovered thanks to the Duffy Dreamcast Collection project! It is unfortunate that this surviving build only has a few levels updated, but just having this build available to us after all this time is an absolute treasure in video game preservation!

Note: At this moment in time no one has found a way to run this build. There is a check that stops the user from running the game unless a Geforce 256 GPU is installed. Unfortunately, I have had no success in launching the game even if the gpu in question is installed. If someone can help remove this check and can get the game running please let us know in the comments below!
