@@LuckyBunz A slightly tankier will only get you so far until it's knocked out anyways. TDO, not just DPS, is better still for the shadow. So you're better off with a shadow with low stats, over a normal with perfect ones.
@@MrGrombie this would only be accurate for ultra league right? Since master league is unlimited CP cap max attack is wanted correct? Same deal for raids since there's no CP cap as long as you max level it's going to be ideal for max all stats.
I'm so pumped for shadow Mewtwo I have 4 rocket radars and I was going to use them all but I might just use 2 or 3. It's so expensive to power one up and double move. (we'll see the IVs I guess) thanks for the video
Just remember, Ivs add a maximum of 6% to your Pokémon, and for shadow Mewtwo the attack ivs change it by about 2% because having maxed attack ivs adds +6 to its attack stat (which is base 300) So it’s only an extra 2%
I'd say if you have one shadow Mewtwo then definitely give it one elite charged tm for Psystrike, as for it's 2nd charged move after removing frustration and buying a 2nd charged move I'd recommend leaving it's 2nd moveslot open rather than using a 2nd elite charged tm for shadowball, only use one elite charged for Psystrike, and the 2nd slot have for flexibility to be able to fit in several raids for several typing counters, as alternate between, Thunderbolt, flamethrower, ice-beam, and focus blast and cuz of shadow mewtwos insane attack it can fill in rolls for rId counters for each of those other typings despite being limited to psychic fast moves. Keep that in mind. But if you have more than one shadow Mewtwo or this one will be your 2nd shadow Mewtwo coming up, like myself and happen to get real lucky with a shadow Mewtwo having Hundo or close in stats(fingers crossed hoping so) and that is your 2nd and best Shadow Mewtwo then I can definitely see going with double legacy shadow Mewtwo, of both Psystrike and shadowball and definitely would max to big 50 and best buddy. Then have your additional shadow Mewtwo that is not as good with the open 2nd slot for flexibility for raids. Regardless of the IVs definitely power up a shadow Mewtwo to atleast lvl 40, as a 0 shadow Mewtwo is better than no shadow Mewtwo and better than a 100% non shadow Mewtwo

Ironically enough I looked up master league rankings and Shadow Mewtwo actually happens to now rank higher than normal Mewtwo in master league, even thou it's not common for shadows to rank higher than their regular counterparts for Master league PvP, as far as Mewtwo I can definitely see why, as even using a lvl 40 9, 9, 8, one star shadow Mewtwo being sent out after your opponents sheilds are all broken it smacks like a truck making for a great closer and sweeps very efficiency so I can only imagine using a perfect or close to perfect shadow mewtwo at lvl 50 in master league, as mins was a little shy of lvl 40 and not even close to good IVs as that normally doesn't matter for shadow Mewtwo anyways but kinda does for PvP in some ways. I beileve because Mewtwo doesn't have an insane defense stat to begin with, what I loses in defense vs what it gains I'm offense makes it better overall not as the first Pokemon you send out but for one to finish the job, preferably after all Sheilds are broken
With a well rounded team to have some well balanced, bulky, wall mons, such as Melmetal as I normally use for the first mon to bait sheilds, then also something like Groudon and Metagross which is kinda in-between Melmetal and shadow Mewtwo as far as offense and defense, being still bulker than shadow Mewtwo but not quite as bulky as Melmetal but a good in between balance that also smacks harder than Melmetal and makes for a good safe swap to cover either of the other 2 mons. Thus having a well balanced team to go along with shadow mewtwo in master likely will be very successful
I had two lvl 40 Shadow Mewtwos before this event. Now I'm rocking a total of five. Why? Well, i'm thinking about Eternatus, and any other legendaries weak to psychic attacks that might come in the near future. Totally worth it IMO.
Hey! Just a question, I still have the “Field Notes: Team GO Rocket” task, and I was thinking if I should complete it since I read I won’t be able to get the new research task. Should I get the shadow Latios and complete the new research? Or is it possible to stack and I’ll just complete the task once shadow Mewtwo gets here?
You can get the new research during the mewtwo time frame. I still have the last task and that's my plan. They just don't let you get the new quest until the last one is complete. Whether you want shadow Latios is a different question.
Wait until Mewtwo comes into rotation on the 14th and then complete it. You will then complete the quest, get Shadow Mewtwo and then you will unlock the new Shadow Mewtwo quest the next day.
missed out on 2020 so when I came back in 2021 I was slowly getting a lot of meta relevant pokemon but that shadow mewtwo was always something I wanted. Spent nearly 2 years waiting and I finally have it, now to get two more and hope for better IVs
Question, for players with only one spare Super Rocket Radar stacked (ex: 2 Super Rocket Radars in total) do you still recommend to use both on Shadow Mewtwo?
Love your videos!!! I have 5 stacked rocket radars and a shadow mewtwo maxed to level 51. So each players situation is unique but " everybody should have atleast 1 shadow mewtwo" .. But what lucky bunz didnt mention is that you need a ton of mewtwo candy to power it up. Basically its not good unless you can power it up. So unless you plan on doing a lot of mewtwo raids in the future. I think 2 shadow mewtwos is plenty. I personally have 472 xl candy left over so it makes sense for me to get perhaps 1 more shadow mewtwo and I will still have almost enough candy to max out a regular mewtwo when it becomes mega. So in summary get atleast 2 if you can. I dont think you need more than that .

At the start you said that in order to unlock the team rocket mission you have to have done the one last month but I never did it since I took a big break so will I not get the mission?

Since your saying not to use all of them what ones would you save your radars for. I managed to save up 4 plus 2 recharch tasks are waiting to be finished.
I have 2x accounts, so while taking over a gym i just use 2x Mewtwos around 4k CP. They just destroy gyms even with neutral typing. Ice Beam as a second move (Psystrike as first move) is more useful for gyms than Shadow ball since ghost is not effective to normal types, which people always drop like blissy, snorlax, chancies, etc. Ice Beam can destroy dragons, ground, rock, grass, and flying really well.. like rhyperior, tyranitar, and dragonite. plus the Ice Beam animation comes out instantly and does damage not like the slow Shadow ball.
So, the only way of unlocking mewtwo's research line will be finishing latios' line (field notes)? The mewtwo line would be unlocked on nov 14. If i'm on the last page of Field notes, where i have to encounter, fight and combat giovanni, can i finish that page and the whole investigation so that i encounter a mewtwo and then get the mewtwo line? Or the latios line has to be finished before nov 14? It's basically being able to use up to 3 o 2 rocket radars for mewtwo. thank you!

Yeah, when Mewtwo becomes available on the 14th, battle Giovanni and complete the Field Notes Special Research. Once that has been completed, the next day you will get access to the new Special Research for Shadow Mewtwo and you can choose to carry that radar over to the next legendary or complete it right away and get a 2nd Shadow Mewtwo.
Ok so how should I go about getting the most shadow mewtwos this event I don’t want to mess anything up, I am currently on page 15/16 of the misunderstood mischief quest as well as on then 4/6 for team go rocket field notes. Should I be completing those quests now and save the rocket radars or not complete them until shadow mewtwo comes back out?
If you are at the step of each of those quests where it says "Beat Giovanni" then you are in the right place. Wait until the 14th and beat Giovanni, and you will complete both steps for each quest at the same time. Then the following day, you will unlock the special research quest for Shadow Mewtwo and you can choose if you want to carry that one over or use it for an extra Shadow Mewtwo.

I got 2 shadow Mewtwo on it's original release, and they both have 15 attack, but extremely low defense and HP. I have the same amount of super rocket radars as you (5 currently, 6 when the new research drops), and I'll be getting 2 more as well just to see if I can get better IVs
How do you stack more than 2 super rocket radars? From my understanding you can’t get more than 1 because you have to complete the mission before unlocking a new one. So technically you can “stack 2” by holding on to the old mission and once you complete it you get the other one. Which is what I’ve done so I have 2 “stacked” super radars since I am still holding on to the last mission plus the new one once I complete it. How do you get past 2?

I've been waiting for shadow mewtwo for what seems a thousand years. 4 radars saved, the works. as my online avatar IS a mewtwo. i would love a team of 6 shadow mewtwo's. though i already have 2, and only need 4 more, i'm going to use all, but mainly because i want the best chances at the highest IV's possible. If you aren't a mewtwo die-hard, there's no reason to have more than 3-4 total. raids don't last longer than 1 shadow mewtwo's with a group and 3-4 with duo or trio's are easily revived.

Since I started to play the game again not a long time ago and I didnt have shadow mewtwo, I was willing to spend 2 radars or maybe more, but I happily got a 13/15/15 mewtwo on the first try, and I wont try to get the shundo because of unfavorable odds.

I have three super radars, a quest line to get another plus the upcoming quest to get another. I have 0 shadow mewtwo's due to my negligence of how useful it(and other shadows) are in the game. I also like Giovanni getting a rotation of shadow legendry's since i find it hard to raid for legendry's. Saving a few super radars for a legendary needed for my pokedex is quite satisfying.

I have a little question and im new to the game, so I receive my super rocket radar (already in my inventory, not a receive like quest) and it was in the time of shadow latias. If i use it on this month shadow legendary is it going to be shadow mewtwo? or the one that i got it which is in the month of shadow latias?
The easiest way to tell is when you battle Giovanni, his final Pokemon will be whatever shadow Legendary is in rotation. So right now it's still shadow Latios, but on the 14th it will be shadow Mewtwo

I have 4 Super Radars 8nvluding the 1 we will get and don't have any shadow mewtwo. I was still only planning on using 2 and thats if the 1st one I get has a bad IV spread. Yeah he is a beast but I don't use my regular ones that much so I'm assuming he will fall into that same category
I had an old special research (as i am a returning player) I think it was called "A challenging development" and i used that rocket radar for the shadow latios. Now, will i be available to get the mewtwo special research? Maybe this is a dumb question but im kind of new to this whole thing

I got shadow mewtwo and I can pop off 1 or if lucky 2 phystrikes but other than its incredibly powerful and fast energy build up its health is horrible it almost lost to a shadow lavitar
I never know what to do with these Shadow Legendary Pokemon... Like I was lucky enough to get a 100 IV Mewtwo from a raid, but would it be better to invest in a low IV Shadow Mewtwo instead?
It's a case by case thing with me, but if I had a hundo MewTwo and a 92% Shadow Mewtwo, I'd max the shadow and slowly work on the hundo in the background. The same for Shadow Mammoswine, Moltres and a few others. You might look at LuckyBunz Shadow videos if you haven't. He does the absolute best job of explaining what to keep and what to toss because the confusion is real when it comes to shadows. It's just a convoluted mess.
If you’re interested in pvp I’d power up the Hundo because it can be used for both pvp and raids. If you’re not interested in pvp, I’d power up the shadow. I powered up my only shadow mewtwo to level 40 with IV’s of 9/6/8 and it’s served me incredibly well and I haven’t regretted it.
This is the order of importance. Base Stats -> Shadow Boost -> IVs The worst IV shadow Mewtwo is still going to be so much better than the 100% IV non shadow

This literally makes no sense to me... I'm currenlty on 4/6 for Field Notes: Team Go Rocket. Just need to defeat Sierra to unlock the radar. Just like as picture. To my understanding I wait to defeat Sierra and collect the radar until Nov 14th-17th? Then supposedly when reaching the final step and I defeat Giovanni I get a mewtwo encounter instead? Within the 14th-17th window, I would then unlock the new special research and thus giving a second encounter? Correct?
Nooooooo. So basically every couple months Giovanni has a new obtainable shadow legendary that you can catch after defeating him. However to get the super rocket radar you must first complete the special field research that comes out whenever giovanni has a new legendary. So for example a couple months ago giovanni switched his shadow legendary from latias to latios with it for a limited time (around a couple weeks) came the new research “field notes:team go rocket”. After the window to receive the research is over you’re still able to finish it - as you are doing right now. However the next time the legendary switches, so when giovanni has mewtwo, you need to finish the previous field research in order to have the new research spawn in your special research tab. So even though you’re playing the game during the timeframe players receive the new research you won’t see the new research actually spawn. The smart move would to finish the field notes team go rocket before giovannis research timeframe is over (or ideally before it even starts so you don’t have to worry) making you able to receive the rocket radar for the previous one and you can either use it to get shadow latios OR you can hold on to it and then use the previous rocket radar and the new one you get to have two giovanni encounters (meaning two shadow mewtwos)
So if I want 2 shadow mewtwos I collect the super rocket radar from Fields nores and then wait with defeating team go rocket boss until he has shadow mewtwo and then I can complete Fields notes research. And after that the new special research will show up and I can complete that for another shadow mewtwo encounter. Correct?
Don't wait to defeat Sierra, complete Step 4 and then Step 5 will tell you to beat Giovanni. At that point, wait until the 14th and beat him when Shadow Mewtwo becomes available in rotation. You will then complete the quest and the following day you will unlock the new special research quest, which will give you access to another super rocket radar
Can I still get shadow Mewtwo if I still have team go rocket research on 5/6 and don’t want to waste the rocket radar on that one so I can get 2 shallow mewtwo
Correct, that is typically how you stack a radar. Just use that radar on the 14th once Shadow Mewtwo becomes available and then you will get the new special research quest the next day, and you can choose to roll it over or use it for another Shadow Mewtwo
I'm asking for you to please do another video some of us don't have any good Pokemon like the rest of them we don't get to win raids because we're alone it's not fair that we don't get enough time being alone to win a raid even though we try and try and try and it's a timer that messes this up because we're alone please I need to know what Pokemon I can use to defeat all three
