Sure, a hundo mewtwo would be sick, but a shadow mewtwo is much better for the time being. Short answer: You can always purify in the future if mega mewtwo comes out. However, you’ll never be able to un-purify it. Just wait for mega mewtwo for now

I was only able to do one raid this past weekend and it gave me a 98% shadow Mewtwo, and I was super happy… but then if I purified it would be a hundo which is great for the mega to come, but since I only have one guaranteed purified hundo Mewtwo, I don’t think I’ll purify, for now that is… I’m definitely looking forward to the mega, so I think I’ll try and get a pretty decent Mewtwo from the mega raids… I do have a 93% lucky Mewtwo, and in all honesty I don’t care a big amount regarding IV’s, but having a hundo Mewtwo would be cool

I managed to get a 15/15/14 shadow Mewtwo, but I also got a 14/13/15 shadow mewtwo. I think I'll keep 15/15/14 a shadow and purify the 14/13/15 one to make it a hundo. Really with the shadow raids followed the same IV rules as regular raids.

Psa: if you have 7-8 nice iv shadow mewtwo that can turn hundo if purified then purifying 1-2 of them to obtain those hundos isn't a bad idea because in a real scenario you won't be using more than 4-5 shadow mewtwo in you party. Plus stacking up with 2 hundo mewtwo can let you have 2 seperate mons for the different moves considering mewtwo got 2 mega evolution.

I made a lot of raids and the best I got is a shadow 15/13/13 and a 13/13/13 that I purified to get the hundo (I did not have any of good ivs) I have for level 50 the candies then I upload the purified hundo or the shadow 15/13/13

Reason why I’d purify now is the fact that it’s cheaper to build said Mewtwo afterwards. We know the mega is coming eventually. Instead of keeping it shadow and build it with shadow candy costs, purify it now and build it for cheaper. Ofc I suggest this if you have more than enough shadow MewTwo to cover for the purified one. In my case I had 20 so I didn’t think much of it.

LITERALLY WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING. People like BrandonTan(who I love to watch) have been hammering the stigma of not purifying MewTwo even now, when he himself has caught over 100 shadow MewTwos now after the raids. So now if IVs of those MewTwos REALLY don’t matter then whats the problem with purifying one for a hundo when you have 100more shadow MewTwos to spare?

#PurifyShadowPokemon A 2/2/2 purified weedle is more ethical than a shadow shundo Mewtwo. 1:44 True but that attack means nothing since a 6/6/6 shadow Mewtwo still loses a CMP tie with a hundo regular/purified Mewtwo.5:43 It is more difficult to get a hundo from shadow raids because you can get 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 or 15 in the 3 IV sets. That is 10 options. And to get a purified hundo you need 13, 14 or 15. So the chances of getting one IV to be a purifiable 15 is 3/10 and to get a purifiable hundo is (3/10)^3= 27/1000=0.027. However, if you do a normal raid, you can lucky trade that pokemon to get a 1/64 chance to get a hundo is 1.5%

I don't understand what utility you get from a 13-13-13 Shadow Mewtwo that you can't get from a 6-6-6 Shadow Mewtwo. They're both going to destroy everything in PVE, and there's only a fractional difference between the two. For me, the only place where IV matters if for PVP, and I'd rather have a 15-15-15 Purified Mewtwo than a 13-13-13 Shadow Mewtwo. Of course, if it's a 15-15-15 (or 15-15-14) Shadow Mewtwo, I wouldn't purify that, but otherwise, it's worth having ONE 15-15-15 Purified Mewtwo. If nothing else, you save a ton on candy to power it up.

My best Shadow Mewtwo is 14/15/12, should I purify that one for Master League and to turn into a Mega Mewtwo, since I already got three other Shadow Mewtwo at level 40? I didn't get a 13/13/13 or above Shadow Mewtwo, sadly, even though I managed to do 40+ Shadow Mewtwo raids. I guess a Perfect Mewtwo will elude me forever, by the way, my best regular Mewtwo are both 14/15/15, which I will not power up for Master League.

I think that would definitely be a consideration for the future. I would say hold off for now until Mega Mewtwo gets released, and then if you still haven't gotten anything better, go ahead and do it. Since you already have your other shadow Mewtwo built, this might be your best regular one, since the others have 14 attack.

I have a 100 % regular and a 98 % shiny shadow mewtwo. I only have enough XL candiies to power one to level 50.. Which one should it be? I do Pvp Master league often.

Damn dude, I would say max them both. It will take you some time forsure, but that's what I would do. Considering that you do Master League often, I would go with the hundo first, because you won't be able to TM frustration until the next shadow event.

It really depends on how you want to build your team. I think as an opener, I prefer Shadow Mewtwo because it forces people to burn shields, but as a switch/closer, I prefer regular Mewtwo. Mewtwo dominates the meta so everyone has one or is built to counter one. Hence, if you open with Mewtwo, people will have their Mewtwo counters out or often successfully catch on the Psystrike. But if you hide your Mewtwo, you can play out your game so it comes in at the right time to dominate, so I like Mewtwo more as a switch/closer. Hence, I'd work on the regular hundo first. It's way cheaper, you'll get immediate use out of it, and it's one of the best Pokémon out there.

I have a team built of 15 attack shadow Mewtwo now, plus 2 shadow Mewtwo that can be purified hundo, to have them evolve into Mega Mewtwo X and Y. The latter was my goal for raiding shadow Mewtwo, but better understanding how powerful shadow Pokémon is, I was lucky to also now own a raid attacker Shadow Mewtwo squad of 6.

I would not purify this, because your attack stat is too low to have it turn into the hundo. Also, since you don't have that many shadow Mewtwo, it would make more sense to keep them all as shadows

i had 6 shadow mewtwo, with the worst being 13/10/15 (still 3*), and one 13/13/13. i just purified the 13/13/13 in preparation for the mega whenever it releases... I have 2 other shadows better than that 13/13/13, so i knew i'd be powering up those 2 before the 13/13/13. and it's going to take a long time to get those up anyway

Since you only have 4 shadow Mewtwo, I would keep them all shadow for now. However, for the future mega, it's something you can decide on later when it comes out. You don't have to make the decision right now I would also rewatch the part of the video where I go over IVs on shadow Mewtwo vs regular Mewtwo

The only way right now to use its charge move is 2nd move it. Right now, u can not tm away frustration. U need a special event where u can tm away frustration.

Nah, the only reason you would want to purify is if you would get the hundo. If that shadow Mewtwo with 98% IV has 15 attack though, I would personally keep it as a shadow.

It’s not efficient and I personally would never purify a shadow pokemon that already has access to a godly moveset. But at the end of the day it’s not all about being efficient and having strong pokemon. Sometimes these small goals are what matter to some people.

@@bertob8643 the 20% dps heavily outweighs the dust/candy discount as can always farm the latter with patience. As for mega evolution, you will need mega energy which u will have to raid for which u will most likely catch another mewtwo from not to mention with a higher iv floor so better chance for hundo. Just some food for thought

In my personal opinion, if you want a hundo you need the weather boost. As for mewtwo I did 100 raids got 6 shinies and 4 mewtwos above 90% so all in all it’s random and luck

bottom line is, never ever purify those meta relevant pokemons, sure, other non-meta relevant ones to get hundo and flex would be nice, but these ones? nundo shadow is still way better than hundo regular.

I haven't been around long enough to battle regular Mewtwo in raids so candy is far to precious to waste on purifying. I used all of mine to power up my 82% to cp3674.

You spend candy to purify, but then it takes less candy and stardust to power up. Overall, you save quite a bit by purifying if you are fine with a regular Mewtwo.
