★ In this video I will be going over the best budget Pokemon to invest in Pokemon GO in 2021! This video was a highly requested from many of you, so I tried to go above and beyond in putting it together!
I tried to aim this content towards newer/more casual players of Pokemon GO, as I noticed from last year a lot of returning players were the ones who watched it. Coming back to the game after years of not playing can seem intimidating, so with that in mind, the focus was to provide these players with a way to build out decent teams while they work towards some of the better Pokemon featured in my other top lists for 2021!
Similar to those videos, this list of Pokemon mainly focuses on gym/raid attackers, along with some other useful candidates. The biggest factor considered was accessibility and candy cost, rather than stardust. I also touched on evolving higher level Pokemon with decent IVs, which is a good strategy I implemented in the earlier stages of my account progression.

11:00 there’s a trick for unbreon and espeon, if you walk like one km and then keep switching buddy from eevee to something back to eevee, it doubles the Km every time you swap

I really appreciate these videos. Currently where I live, it's freezing cold outside and I'm unable to make use of the gym mechanic to get coins for raid passes or to go out and hunt for raids myself so I often miss out on the top tier attackers that are in raids. My girlfriend is also more of a casual player than I am so these lists are helpful to both of us since she can know what to focus on and I can trade her some good pokemon for cheap such as the trade evos. Several good strategies for new players, i hope lots of them see this. Should probably point out to them that we expect gen 5 starter pokemon to eventually get good community day moves. Niantic seems to have slowed their release but it could be worth saving good ones for as they make good budget attackers.

I caught a 2900 cp Salamance in the wild. Works great for me even with bad IV. Saves me from dumping rare candy into my rayquaza from research now that I have a good dragon

I am also a returning player who hasn't played for 2,5 years and I basically missed 3 whole regions worth of Pokemon in this game. I don't even have the Meltan questline finished. This is super helpful because I'm not really into the mega evolutions and am missing a lot of the raid pokemon. Especially legendaries. I basically quit the game when it was still good to have multiple Tyranitar, Machamp and Hariyama. The level 30 baseline is really interesting. Didn't know about that.

Great video bro! Im not New in the game but i just have about almost 2 years playing I have about 67 pokemons lvl 40 now, with a lot of work (not spoof or something) And i can recomend the most of the pokemons you said My top 5 of pokemons absolutely necesaries on your team and easily to get candies would be: 1. Machamp 2. Rhyperior 3. Tyranitar 4. Dragonite 5. Metagross (not too easy but it worts) All of this, with just one of each,gives your an axcellent atackers to raids, pvp and gyms But if you wanna do a full team of specific one of them, thats will be the difficult thing 😅

If you are on iOS download an app called pokegenie , you take a ss of the Pokémon you want to check then you run it through the app and it will tell you it’s level and what it will be if you evolve it , very good app

My phone internet is so bad.. I hardly ever battle in GoBattle League... I am mainly focus on raids and gym take downs... All my stardust is dispensed depending on whatever counter i need at the moment. So i have near zero stardust lol. I am always looking for the best and economical counters. I am always wary that im wasting hard earned stardust on less than stellar counters.. So thank you for posting this video. Its a pretty useful guide on which counters to focus on. My end goal is to be able to defeat T5 with the bare minimum of trainers (like around 3 players imo)

Suggestion: you should add the Pokémon name or leave it as it is. I'm a beginner and Pokémon go is my first Pokémon game ever. So there's alot of thing don't know and the only solution for me is google. Some Pokémon in your video got their name changed and it's really hard to find them, I managed to find a few but I don't have any clue about the rest, I can not rely on auto translate either. So I think editing the Pokémon's name would really helpful especially for true Pokémon beginner like me

No but wait to power up beginner forms of Pokémon. I like to wait till I evolve them, because for me, move set is more important than IV’s. And don’t use a tm changer before you evolve them either. Since their moves change when you evolve them. That has helped me the most so far. I choose the highest level with the best move set. The stat difference doesn’t matter that much. Just a few hundred cp at max level. And power it up. So for me it is moveset > cp > stats. For pvp, it’s moveset> stats = 0/15/15> cp. reason for that is the attack stats inflates the overall cp. and it’s all about charge moves and tanking others hits. Hope that helps. Sorry it’s a month later.

Your budget list last year was way better in my opinion. I appreciate the hard work you put into this list and your thoughts. I preferred how you broke down best mons by type, say the best same type move set, wether it could be a dual type (example houndoom). This list jumped around a lot. I create an excel sheet and actually type out and create the list you provide in the video, but I have no idea where to put some of them because the jumping around from topic to topic. Still appreciate your hard work tho! Your best Pokémon in 2021 so far list was how I like it. Just my 2 cents, keep on keepin’ on.

For some pokemon IV's aren't everything. For a long time Drilbur did not spawn much where I live although now it is much better. I had a high CP Drilbur, but the IV's weren't great...only 79...but I couldn't seem to get a better one, so I evolved it. I use it in raids all the time...it's tanky enough that it does alot of damage before it faints...so even when I evolve a better one old 79 will stay in the bag. :D

On the level topic, the reason you would want to power up Pokémon to level 40 is because they only take up one slot. 3 level 40 Pokémon will be able to take down a raid boss 10% faster and easier than 3 level 30 ones.

Hi I don't think this has any relation to the video but I need some help. I have a riolu and finally got enough candies to evolve it but it has 12 attack,14 def and 10 HP and has 542 cp. I don't know if I should evolve it could you help me?

I would hold off for now, wait until you get one with 15 attack or save that Riolu for a lucky trade in the future. Candy is pretty scarce when it comes to Riolu/Lucario

what about darumaka in the 50 candy option? i know it may not be the most accessible, but it is still really good.

How do you tell what level Pokémon is? I see the cp lvl but I don’t see the overall level

The stardust required to power up a Pokemon is the indicator I use. For example: Level 20 = 2500 Stardust Level 25 = 4000 Stardust Level 30 = 5000 Stardust
