This is a let's play series of Shadows of Forbidden Gods. We're playing the early access version 0.13.
Shadows of Forbidden Gods is a turn based strategy game where we take on the role of an Elder God that is awakening in a fantasy world. We try to spread out dark influence over the world while the heroes of the world - led by the Chosen One - try to prevent us from rising.
I have not been as excited about a game since Cultist Simulator.
The game is developed by Bobby Two Hands and published by Forbidden Oak Games Limited.

To be perfectly clear, I don't think I ever said I though the game is as good as CS. I said that it's the latest game after CS came out that had me really really excited about it. Where CS was a totally unique and new experience, SoFG feels more like something familiar and old. There's something about this game that made me immediately feel like I'd played it for decades before. CS and SoFG are very different games in what they do and how they play. I just love them both.

@@UncleCarpsGamingCorner I tried watching the episode but the UI design really killed me, though its understandable given how early in dev it is. Hopefully with future updates they can pretty it up.

Yeah, I gotta admit that the UI is terrible, but since it's made by a singular dev, I can kinda forgive the UI deficiency.

This game honestly made me feel hope for the game industry once again. Well, maybe not the industry, but games as a whole. There's really nothing that new or groundbreaking here, but the whole of the thing is something so fresh and exciting that it's hard to believe.

It came out of early access yesterday. I started this series a week ago. I will be starting a 1.0 run in a couple of days.

I totally agree with you on the pronoun thing. More troubles than their worth, especially when you could spend all that time corrupting the world of light!
