Camping world is the worst dealer ever, they sell you on how many locations they have that will make fixing a breeze but in reality you will wait months and months to even get to her trailer looked at. I won’t step foot in a camping world.
I have had horrible experiences with dealers as well mostly salesman who just lie to your face. Once the sale is done they act like you don’t exist I’ll tell you that much. Make sure you read a lot of reviews on what dealer you choose because if you can’t rely on them to help you when your purchasing, they sure won’t help you after you purchase. We actually were damn near about to sign the dotted line on a trailer when I looked at my wife and was like you know what we are not purchasing this from here. They sure changed their tune quick, lost out on 100k sale. We are happy to say we found a great dealer now and are happily Going on vacations with our family of 4
We went to camping world this passed weekend to try a get an travel trailer it was a small one we had 2000 thousand dollars for a down payment but they wanted 5000 because the banks ask for that pass the payment they had for 149 bucks the sale man told us we need like 6000 to try n get a payment like that

RV dealer in Ocala, FL that is a larger RV business will charge a $5,000 fee for doing a walk around and an inspection of the unit. They won't even hook up power, water, or anything unless you pay a $100 non-refundable deposit. How can you even decide to purchase if you can't look unless you pay the deposit. On top of that, the dealer will show a low price on the internet and then hammer you with all sorts of fees. The dealer has a ton of RVs and they get a lot of business, but the fees are stupid and the RVs are overpriced.
ever heard the term "used car sales man"? this is how ALL salesmen--and saleswoman are thought of. these dirty tactics have been going on for generations. with nothing changing. when a sales man contacts me, all i can think of is how much he wants to fuck me over, just to make a sale.
dishonesty exists in all levels of sales regardless of what you are buying, like many have said, do your homework and find a dealer that has a good reputation
Thank you for your honesty. It would take me a long time to decide if getting an RV is really for me, and what I need. I am a careful customer and thoroughly research even modest purchases so I'm going to be very well informed before I even walk onto the lot. I take the time to know what I am getting into. I have never had any reluctance to walk away from any situation that seems suspect. When I arrive, I have a lot of prepared questions and I also ask a lot of questions that arise during the conversation -- for a transaction this major, I write down the questions and answers in detail and ask the salesperson to sign what is said -- if they won't do that, I say good bye and leave immediately. I would never dream of putting down a deposit before I am satisfied. There is no need to be an obnoxious customer and I respect that a seller has to make an honest living -- I think the best transactions are where both the buyer and seller are happy with what has taken place. So I really appreciate your taking the time to present this crucial information. You have done your industry a great service. Thank you very much.
Either this video is the greatest hype I have seen in years or the guy in the Red shirt is DEFINITELY the guy to buy from. Too bad they don't carry the RV I am looking for or I would seriously want to talk with them. Good luck to all, happy travels!
I agree with everything you all are saying. I worked for a Winnebago dealership for 25 years and always told my customers that I worked for them, they were my customers, and I would stand behind my work. I would have owners call me when they had issues down south to see if I could tell them something to take care of a problem. If I couldn’t tell them something that they thought they could handle they would wait until they got back home to have me repair it.
I don’t begrudge a dealer a profit but don’t try and fk me. Get the out the door price . If they deviate from that price get in touch with the attorney general. To bad Consumer Reports doesn’t do RVs
Oh and I’ll. Also forgot to mention that the vehicle was 38,000 now after the 15,000 has been paid they’re saying that we still owe 38,000 because that money went into the warranty and when we’re done paying for this we would have paid over 70,000 talk about confused where did my $15,000 go again sorry and thank you very much🤦🏻♀️😱
RVW is great. I bought my first travel trailer from them two years ago and living in Arizona, I was worried about warranty repairs if anything went wrong. I had an electrical problem at close to the 1 year warranty date with all 110v outlets not working and after replacing the gfi, they still did not work. I checked every outlet to make sure there were no loose connections and everything looked ok. I called RVW and they authorized me to take it to a dealership that I had used before. That dealership found a shorted wire and had to drop the bottom cover to run a new wire between the two outlets where the short was. RVW took care of everything with no problems. My wife and I are headed back up to Ohio in two weeks to buy our second RV from RVW. Fantastic company.
I would be interested in buying from RVW but like Gary (i live in Prescott AZ) would have concern with getting work done after the sale from local dealers... so, it is hopefully comforting that local would be willing to work on it

Should have purchased an RV from you guys. Our dealer won't even honor the warranty they gave us. We didn't purchase an rv only to have things not working days after we pick it up.

Unfortunately for many dealers yes, but it is very dishonest! RVW price protects after a $1,000 deposit so that no matter what happens during the build process your price doesn't change. Most manufacturers are still experiencing delays on build times, but some are going back to normal, such as Wildwood

Kelly Tussing The idea of buying one without seeing it in person is a bit scary, but honestly, after watching this video we backed out from a toy hauler we were about to close on here in Austin... SO GLAD WE DID! The sales guy was a jerk from the begining, why we went along with it I have no idea. I'll talk to the husband and see what he's thinking, who would I ask for if I called?

OK I wish I seen this video first we just purchased an RV my husband found it online we went to the dealer we looked at it it was 38,000 2006 looks good we talked about what is it come with and we looked it over it looks beautiful they were sweet as pie everyone of them now when we were talking about lowering the price so we could afford it we put down five grand and then my husband said he would put another 10,000 to get the price even lower so within a week we pay $15,000 when we were signing papers I was asking the sales man what does it cover he says we would get a warranty I said great how much is it he never really said how much but I asked him that I wanted one to cover everything he said it would be too expensive so just to get one to cover the body from up to down everything he said the appliances are very expensive so that it be best for us to worry about things like that in the motor because if it’s the motor we can take care of it ourselves I didn’t like that but my husband and I just thought OK the warranty would cover the tires they said don’t worry about it I saw how much is tire he said don’t worry about it it comes with the warranty now at the time they said the tires were good they were still good for at least three years so we said OK but I said what if we wanted to buy a tire he said no it’s all included that they were going to spray some chemical in it so he doesn’t get a flat OK so we thought the tires be great so when we picked up the RV they said the tires were two grand and I said why are the tires two grand they said they were all included he says all the new ones I said no no I never said we were going to buy new ones I asked if we wanted to buy a new ones that they were all included so write their first flag they said no we switch the tires they tried telling me that they switched it because I said I want to new tires I never said that I said what does one tire cost and he said not to worry about that they were included so that was I complain so they gave us half off so we only paid 1000 for the tires now we take it out and the sides don’t come in won’t retract back in and this is 2 o’clock in the morning we’re at a campsite this is just this morning my husband called they said no that they can’t call us for any kind of warranty questions because it would be valid void if we had questions and within the month he said that he told me and my husband that they told us this that doesn’t make sense so now we can’t call them becauseLose the warranty so what happens in a month do they say well it’s past month and nothing is covered I am so confused and I’ll kind of panicky can you please give me some info on any of this does it make sense to you and I know this is really long long but I just had to contact you guys after watching your video thank you guys and I hope you get back to me thank you so much God bless
