I am a sunglass nut… I have them all. Oakleys, Maui Jim’s, Rays and Shady’s… i have easily 3k worth of Oakleys. For the best optics for me hands down Maui Jim’s, they are on another level and also $325 a pair. Then Oakleys at $225-300 a pair. I have six pairs of Shady’s and one style with different colored lens. Three different styles. Wife has her four pairs. I will say this Shady’s are the best deal period in sunglasses. Quality made they hold up and price come on $48 non sale. Wait for a sale the do them all the time. My last purchase was 25% off to buy two pairs and then for $18 Shady’s picks a random third pair for you. $90 for three pairs. The random pair was the leopard classics and my wife snapped them up and now are one of her go to pairs. Shady’s customer service is on another level. Other companies need to take a few lessons. $300 dollar Jim’s are better but not by a lot. Try getting your favorite style with 3-4 different color lens in Shady’s easy in Oakley or Jim’s mortgage the house. Get some you won’t regret the purchase.
You won't drop your glasses in the water if you use croakies. That's what I wear if I am by the water or in a boat. They adhere to the stems and the glasses float if you drop them👍. They also can hang around your neck if you want to take them off.I learned the hard way by losing a pair of 400.00 rx glasses leaning over the side of a boat. Besides they look cool and have neon colors. Hopefully that helps someone.
That's very true. I personally don't own any but they would be a good idea for someone (like myself) who goes fishing often where you could drop your shades in the water.
I ordered a pair of shady rays because I saw a the news piece on Luxottica couple years back and my LESS THAN A YEAR old clubmasters already have grey showing up under the black paint in the frames. It bothers me a lot because these are 150€ and I always keep them in the case, although I do wear them A LOT. I'm gonna see if I'll do the same where I keep the ray bans for special occasions and daily drive the shady rays. Decent video, the online reviews that are not on shady rays website are kinda mixed so this will def keep me open minded when they arrive. Technically if I'll consider them cheap garbage and break them at least I get replacements for the price of shipping.
I’m rough on my shades. Plus my kids are really rough on my shades. I just ordered 2 pairs of shady rays at 50% off so we shall see how they hold up. Nice review. But can we talk about that Glorious white beard tho?
I've had ray bans wayfarer P for about ten years until my daughter snapped them at the nose. Then some cheapy regular sunglasses. Hurt my eyes Then oakley holbrook for about 4 years until I dropped them from two stories scratching the lens. Replacement from oakley on lens is nearly cheaper getting a whole new pair. About to receive a new pair of SR and I'll see how they do. The customer service may be the best part we will see
This was a really good, fair review, and I appreciate that you made a case for both. Like anything else you wear, its tough to have one that's right for every occasion, i.e. I don't wear my hunting boots out for dinner and dancing with the wife. Definitely going to give the. a shit though- thanks a lot.
I've had my rb wayfarer for nearly 9 years and they are still just as tight as the day I bought them they aren't cheap admittedly but if you break it down over the years are they really that expensive?
I haven’t heard of these before but it looks like I’ll have to create another review video after picking up a pair. Shady Rays has very good advertising presence and that’s how I found them so maybe foster grants doesn’t have that. I’ll take a look. Thanks
