hi i have exciter rotor 3000 rpm and the run out of shaft is 0.10mm its accept or not

+shakhwanm Thank you for your question. Not knowing more about your equipment or the issue, we can only say that runout of 0.10mm is high. We would like to see it at 0.05 or less.

+Rodrigue Sabbouh For a bent shaft you'd have to tear down the machine and replace the shaft, or you could try to straighten it with a hydraulic press(After you've removed the shaft). And the coupling I don't think is easily fixable, just replace it and make sure the new coupling you install doesn't have a clearance fit. I think the majority of couplings should be an interference/shrink fit to prevent eccentricity.

if you have a bent motor shaft or pump shaft. you can have it undercut on a lathe, built up with weld, turned and cut a new keyway. much cheaper than replacing a shaft. I do it all the time
