I’m sitting drunk in my truck rn watching this, I’ve been a clipper fan since we blew the Jazz series, I’m watching this just in fucking disbelief about how we gave this fucking CLEAR SUPERSTAR IN THE MAKING. Idk HOW our front office didn’t see this guy was gonna be a good player, enough to keep for a while. I get it, new ownership wanted to see wins now, that’s how Seattle ended up dying. Trading key pieces without even realizing how important they would be
I’m a Lakers fan and even I’ll admit this guys gonna be waaaaay better than Zo and arguably has a higher ceiling than Ingram. Fucking love his game. Nice pick Clips 👏🏼
As a okc fan I have always liked this guy, his game is so good to watch and his ceiling is pretty high, it will be fun watching this underrated player develop
Clippers gave up this kid for PG?? I love PG but they gave up 5 1st round picks and Shai boy what a robbery that was in the long run dude is 24 and is a pure hooper PG is 32 they have similar game and Shai is younger what a L
PG was 28 and arguably the best 2 way player in the league at the time they traded for him, you have to look at the context of the trade. Plus Kawhi wanted him
Mo this comment is from a month ago...I’ve been a fan since 2012 when they had Chauncey and Butler and Bledsoe off the bench. I’m the farthest thing from a bandwagon and Clipper Nation deserves to have the Klaw and PG13 after all these years. You sir are a bandwagon and luckily for you Clipper Nation still accepting applications
He's gonna be a great addition to okc. I'm excited with the young guys that the team has right now. Very promising, long, athletic and lot of skills. Hopefully, they can develop these players in 2 to 3 years. plus the picks they got from pg trade.😋
he did only play with them for a year and got traded for paul george but he was still good for them despite being a rookie , if los angeles never traded him they would’ve had a solid point guard behind kawhi
He’s already so good at finishing with both hands. His handles are good but they have room for improvement. His mid range game is going to be crazy good. His three ball is going to get better. He’s a pretty good defender. He needs to work on his passing but that’s going to come soon also. So many good things about Shai. He has All-Star upside. Going to be so fun to watch his growth.
I said it back then and I sit here almost 5 years later with the same thought in my head… if we would’ve just drafted MPJ instead of Jerome Robinson, this team would look very different today. We could’ve kept Shai, MPJ, or a lot of our picks. SMFH
@smile cute Wow! PG13! I had lost hope for the Clippers to sign Kawhi so this was a nice shock. It's too bad they had to give up Shai though. OKC got a good deal as well.
and today he’s about to play game 1 in a playoffs where he led the 2nd youngest team to the number 1 seed. (Also just got a new signature shoe deal where he’ll also be the creative director for converse basketball) he’s doing it right.
