He was for sure on the wrong show. But so were all of these people because looks matter to them. Clearly. Attractive people were cast and the most conventionally attractive ones made it to the reunion. I don’t know what’s more insulting: this show trying so hard to lie to us, or this show trying so hard to make the otherwise perfectly reasonable parts of Shake seem completely evil.

Situations like these show how "laughing it off" can actually seem immature rather than diplomatic and a safer response is always listening intently.

Every vet and vet tech in the practice that I go to goes above and beyond and loves my animals. Perhaps part of it is that I take proper care of my pets? So many people neglect to take in their animals until something is horribly wrong, and I can imagine vets being frustrated by that. I suppose it comes from the top down. The vet who owns the practice that I use is extremely compassionate and loves animals so he hires others who are the same. Just don't assume that all vets are that way, I promise that they aren't. And yeah, if Shake was my vet I imagine it would be a nightmare.

Basic psychology will tell you that a lot of people will do anything for validation and attention. That includes expressing compassion towards people you’re not even attracted to. Plus, Shake said his main motivation was staying on the show. So that might’ve also had something to do with it.
