After a busy off-season of maintenance, repairs and upgrades, Pere Marquette 1225 was fired up for the first time since January in preparation for the locomotive's 2019 season. The Steam Railroading Institute will be commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Michigan State University Railroad Club and their initial restoration of 1225.
