I see already Oscar Valdez making a mistakes, he realized that he could of or should of been more technical in previous fights which is true. But he shouldn’t try to be this technical on this one, I think he is a better technician that ppl giving him credit for, but he wont have a chance against Shakur if he comes thinking he is going to outclass him round by round with pure boxing technique. I never understood why alot of Floyd opponents try to be technical against him, you cant beat guys like that at their own game.

We all know what shakur is going to do…Valdez has to mix it up. He showed us he can box he will have to box at times, he will have to pressure shakur with intelligent “Canelo” pressure, he needs to make investment into the body from round 1. Valdez has an uphill battle with this one but he’s a champ for a reason. I can’t call this one. May the best man win. 🥊 🔥

I’ve been watching Shakur since he was about 13 yo. I’ve traveled with him and his grandpop all over the world when he was an amateur and watched him grow but there was one bout where he displayed a kind of grit and determination that I hadn’t seen before. He was up against a hard banging desperate boxer during a final at one of those marathon Ringside Championship tournaments. This other kid was so frustrated, He actually picked Shakur up and threw him to the canvas but Shakur never lost his cool and after banging back in the way that he does, he wore the other boxer down to a nub. So if you think he cannot bang because he’s such an excellent technician, you are wrong. This is going to be his shining moment in front of the world. No disrespect to Valdez, he is a great boxer with a heart twice as big as the ring, but he is up against the next generation of greatness. He already knows this. If he does win it will be because Shakur beats himself and I’ve never seen that happen in all these years.

It’s hard to make a guy quit who’s fought a whole fight with a broken jaw against a bigger opponent. Stevenson can make it one sided but to make him quit I find it hard Valdez has a lot of heart.
