Super fun run :) It's obvious that after 1000+ hours of barony you're still having a lot of fun playing, love how you laugh instead of cursing when things go South :) I hope one day you'll do a run with a human conjurer, max leadership and a bunch of henchmen.
This comment really made my day! Thank you so much. Been playing this game for such a long time so I guess I'm not too fussed with the progress I had made towards finishing it as its nothing new really. Makes you focus more on enjoying the journey and those moments that are unpredictable. :) As for human conjurer. I recently did a skeleton one where I focussed more on having my minions do everything even dominated a couple of cockatrice near the end. But I don't mind doing a human run. More spellcasting and magic :D I don't think any henchmen that follow me will survive however hahaha, but might as well just go for it and challenge them! Would be interesting to see if we can keep them alive from mine town all the way to hamlet and beyond!
Shaman is pretty awesome. Luckily, you dont need to be a spider for long! But i kind of enjoy seeing the legs move. it's really immersive for me :) but imp form will always be my favorite!
I just happened to want to do a shaman run for a little while :) Having somebody want to see one and get some advice on the plays and strats just gave me even more reason to do it! Thank you for suggesting and for watching. I appreciate it :) Hope this run gave you plenty of ideas and strategies on how to get the most out of caster shaman. I'll be doing a melee shaman sometime in the future as well!
That's awesome! Congrats! Yeah, those zappy sticks can be pretty intimidating, but once you learn to deal with them and get your own zappy tek, you're pretty much golden! Which class do you think youll do next?
I don't know if you've mentioned this on stream yet BUT, eating rotten/cursed food in any of the forms has no negative effect... the shaman is practically a god in any circumstance... add to that a vampire race and you're set for life with food and blood
This is true. I might of mentioned it at some point or another, but honestly I don't think I can always mention everything about a class and race every stream. So I genuinely have no clue lol. But I won't ever encourage vamp abuse and I know that you know what I mean :)
not sure if this was mentioned in the future, but as a shaman, you can hotkey your imp form while you are transformed and just recast imp form so you dont have to worry about reverting and having to cast it in your weaker shaman form. Just transform through forms instead of reverting
This is the first stream/vod of yours I've watched, so I'm not familiar with your preferences. 2:00:00 in, I noticed you left Minetown without killing the merchants. I'm curious why this is the case? Too dangerous? Too time consuming?
Hey Raymitch, welcome to the channel and thank you for watching the stream and leaving a comment I appreciate that! short answer: I find more enjoyment with my journey through the dungeon than I do by becoming the strongest I could be. long answer: The only reasons I can imagine to kill a shopkeeper would be for items and skill points. Items: Since I've gotten so much gold from gnome mines I rarely need to worry about not having enough for the items I would like and even some of the most useful ones (boots of levitation, shield of magic resistance) aren't needed to finish the game and have variations you can get along the way (djin's racers / Wraiths cloak) skill points: When it comes to skill points, you could get legendary in almost any combat skill if you do decide to kill every shopkeeper along your way before ever even entering the swamps area. But that said, you'll usually end the game with legendary in the skills you use regardless. Even if you don't hit legendary they won't cause you to succeed or fail your raw stats make far more of a difference. WR for killing herx is 6 minutes. WR for killing the twins is 23 minutes. Now I'm not saying you should speedrun every game. Just that the boss fights are very easy and don't require you to do anything special or extra along the way to be defeated. So I prefer to just run through the dungeon, explore a floor a little bit and move on without being worried about if I might of missed something or how I could be stronger. This is just my playstyle. I know there are plenty of people that love skilling up to the max and I've done runs like that myself they can be fun! But I'm not really something I want to do all the time.
@@LyciantYT Fair enough! Was just curious if it was purely preferential, or if maybe it was always better to keep the merchants somewhat friendly for some mechanical/game reason later in the run.
That moment was great! Also instant Karma? Maybe? Kinda? Sorta? I had a lot of fun. Glad to see you are enjoying the content and thank you for the support!
how were you moving so fast?? is it a game setting or som, ething to do w class? i just got this game so idk anything, but ive just played as barbarian and i dont think it moves that fast
There are 3 factors that lets you move faster. #1 dexterity increases your run speed. #2 strength lets you carry more weight. And #3 your total weight slows you down. I generally dont pick up everything or have a high weight value. This allows me to move faster in general. Some classes scale dextarity. Those are usually very fast. Others scale strength that can carry more without being slowed down. Others dont get eithet of those stats so managing your weight becomes important.
