I guess this is normal around in Asia with a economy spiraling down. And mainstream religion cannot explain the situation the youths are facing. In Singapore, you have Christians believing Fengshui.

What I actually tried to highlight was what was considered as "superstitious" or "unchristian practice" when post-war economic boom Asian starts to embrace Christianity is now also been side to side with the religion as Christianity might not be able to answer the uncertainties faced by the current youth generations. In addition, we always assume that as we enter the new millennium + 21st century, Asia society will become more westernised and started to abandon the "old and backward Asian values". But it seems that things are going the other way round.

Cool! I am shamanism too! I am Buryat we believe in ancestors but you have to feed them if you do they help you if you do not feed them when shaman told you that it is time to do it they can become angry and make bad things to all family branches that do not feed them.
@@in00n i don't know exactly but my parents once a month or once a 5/6 months idk feed them coconut, Bananas , traditional food, flowers and water and beer or some kind of alchol. I don't know exactly when they feed but i always see my parents doing that since childhood and we are living a really normal and peaceful life.
Yes we need more philosopher's, shamans, masters, and spiritual people. Without them our civilization can't advance for they teach us and live and think about the things many avoid or dont ever think or see.

Korea is currently the most expensive country in the world to raise kids and our government refuses to cut down on work hours, fix the insane education system (students spent an average of 16 hours a day at school, hagwon, and studying), or lower the cost of living, especially since everything is centered around Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Why would we want to have kids when it’s not even a realistic option for us anymore?
shamanism has existed since the beginning of the korean civilization 😂 it is their native religion but with the influence of buddhism it lost power and influence, then the christians came and condemned this religious practice as well as the japanese imperialist so 😅 it’s not something new
I don't think Korean shamanism is a written tradition. I think it's an oral tradition. So, it's not so easy to write it down. And if there had been a period of NOT practicing shamanism, then the oral tradition dies right there, and to pick it up again means the new thing will not be as authentic. Likewise in Europe, there are lots of European pagan religions but most of these new religions have gone through the Age of Christianity so they are not very faithful to how the religions were originally practiced.

Shamanism is the oldest religion in the world with different kinds of practices from all over the world. Korean shamanism is more influenced by Mongolian and Manchurian Shamanism than it is by any Chinese philosophy. The reason Shamanism was suppressed during the Joseon period was because it did not fit with Neo-Confucian (Chinese ideology) ideas on society.

Really its an energy situation. Most people don't understand that this "Shamanism" really is all about manipulation of energetic forces to serve higher alien beings known as whatever you want to call them either in your mind as abstract images or outside external forces. Native Americans and even Native Latin Americans have similar rituals. People really are in similar variants or variations of the same exact thing. Shamanism it's not really a new practice and plenty od other cultures, tribes, people's, races and nations practiced it too.
I get you, it's like falling for pretty Korean person but only to find it is a plastic surgery product which is disgusting. But not all are plastic, some are natural too hence same wise there are genuine ones too but they are rare to find hence you don't see them.
Idk but korea's tendency to take things to the extreme just makes such religions more prone to cult-like practices. First church cults now shaman cults.
