Thank you for watching. Thank you for all the great sandal options! My plan is to do a video comparing the warriors with the Xeroshoes Aquacloud next! I hope these videos are helping people make the best decision for themselves for their next pair of running sandals!

One thing that shamus are great about his fishing beer in a river like fly fishing or something you can be locked into those six having tried to earth runners, both a Shama with the grip top or the Luna trying to remember the exact name. I think it’s called monkey grip technology. Oh, those both lock your feet in really good and no issues of Set another one of your videos. I did have the Shamma leather those are slippery.. I like running trails and sandals, cause a lot of races, have creeks and everything you get a Crossing, indigo, wet socks, and everything else but sandwiches run across and they’re dry good video

I wasn't able to break in those laces, love bedrock's!

Excellent video! I need these for walking in severely bumpy cobblestones in Mexico. Each stone is about 6” with very deep set grout, often 4 inches deep. It’s really easy to get the foot caught between cobble rocks. So I need a sandal with some grip to it, not for rain. Which of these would grip better on dry days?

Surprised in all that time you didn't mention one of the main key differences is the simple lace system of the Earth Runner has the strap pulling to the side resulting in extra pressure to the inside of the big toe. Whereas the Shamma allows you to position the main strap down the centre of the foot. Not sure if you noticed that? Also you can use power straps with the Shamma due to it having side straps on both sides, for a more locked in fit.
@Jackalopeadventureclub
@Jackalopeadventureclub Год назад
Thank you for letting me know. I mention the laces are tough and take time to break in, but not the potential hot spot they can cause. I believe in my video specifically about them I mention this. Also, your right adding powers straps is a a big plus side. I didn’t mention the power straps because I was going for a even comparison without accessories. I do have another video about the power straps. Thank you for the feedback and watching!

You might want to try the Elemental footbed on the Earthrunners. It’s rubber not canvas but has the same sole as the Circadian. Also their ergonomic laces are much more comfortable and don’t require breaking in.

I have the Circadian ER’s and Shamma Chargers. I love both sandals. In my opinion, in my Shamma’s I feel more secure, but in my Earthrunners I still feel secure yet more free at the same time lol. Im sure you get what I mean. 😂

Thank you for watching! I 100% know what you mean! I like my Shammas for more technical work and secure feeling. They also feel more secure with the powers straps! My ER definitely give me a more “one with nature/ free feeling” I’m actually testing a pair of Panta sandals right now which are a ER style lacing but Shamma style materials and it has been a really fun experience!

Hi. Thank you for your videos. I am considering the Maximums sandals for road running for those times when my toenails are hurt and my big toes have tendonitis (hallux rigidus). May also use them to wear to work etc. to let my toes live and breathe. How long does it take to get used to running in these (on roads)? Should I expect some chaffing/injuries when switching over? How flexible are these sandals? Thanks for your help ... ready to purchase a pair today :)
@Jackalopeadventureclub
@Jackalopeadventureclub Год назад
Hello! Good questions. Running in sandals is definitely a good way to take stress of your nails from all the miles in shoes. The process of acclimating to sandal running does take a long time. Especially if you are running in a typical running shoe. I started way to fast when I started. If I could go back I would probably wear the sandals as much as possible in between runs/go bare foot. I would only run about 1 mile in sandals every 3 days to start or try and wear them for about a mile then switch to my normal running shoes. There are lots of good videos on RU-vid for how to break in your feet. Some chaffing can occur on the balls of your feet as you get used to them. Just walk in them to start to minimize this. I would also expect some pain from the tendinitis due to having more flexibility. Just remember adjusting is a marathon not a sprint. Take your time no shame backing off to give your feet a break. As for flexibility, they are quite flexible the Regular warriors are more flexible for sure but I think this is a great starting point. If you have not tried minimal style foot wear before, it will be a big change. I think this answered most of your questions. If you have more questions or need more clarification please ask. - Happy Trails Nick

Hello Nick how are you doing man? This was a good video review of both of your sandals. I am a huge huge huge fan of flip flops 🩴, barefooted 👣 , & sandals guy. I am 95% barefooted though. I love my flip flops 🩴 & sandals though. I always hated shoes & socks when I was lil. But now I don't have to hate on shoes & socks because my feet 🦶 outgrow shoes & socks when I was 18 years old. I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide ) with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. It's a very very extremely wide foot I have. I have a pair of the Shamma cruzers. I like them because they don't have the strap that run over to the side like flip flops 🩴do & it makes it so much easier to put on my feet 🦶 then flip flops 🩴. When I put on my flip flops 🩴 my 3 or 4 toes get court up in the straps all the time & it get frustrating man trying to put on my flip flops 🩴 because of my wide toes. I like sandals like these since I have very extremely wide feet 🦶. For over 20 some years i could not wear sandals because the straps wouldn't fit over my foot. It would have been nice to see how the sandals look like being on. Question man? It looks like your big toe is really big from the toe print. Do you have any problems with your big toe Falling off the footbed of your Shamma sandals? It's not easy trying to find a sandals or flip flop 🩴that is wide enough for my foot that is 6 1/2 inches wide.

Do you worry about walking in the Earth Runners inside due to the copper toe plug? Do you worry about it scratching the floor?
@Jackalopeadventureclub
@Jackalopeadventureclub Год назад
Good question. When they were brand new I don’t even think about it. But the toe plug is recessed enough it wasn’t an issue. Also, I do t remember any clicking noise. However, I try and avoid wearing them inside. Lots of outdoor runs have worn down the tread and the copper toe plug gets scratched, gouged, and dinged up creating burrs and a non smooth surface. I could see that messing up floors or snagging carpet and rugs.

@Jackalopeadventureclub thank you! Just watched it. I have a few pairs of bedrocks and they've been great over the years, but I'm hoping the thinner earth runner will give me more ground feel and better help me correct my form for longer disrance running. Im a sandals in all Michigan weather: rain, sun and snow kind of person haha. I appreciate your reply!

@@jordanehahn man if you can get though a Michigan winter in sandals that’s impressive haha. You will defiantly get better ground feel in earth runners. They are also a grounding sandal if that’s something your into. I will say take your time breaking them in in wet weather. Also, be prepared for a looser feel compared to bedrocks. My earth runners still might be one of my favorite and most worn sandals!

I’m sttting here in my busted ass Tevas wondering where I went wrong lol. Seriously.. this whole carefoot thing with high end well made brand popping up is fantastic. Not for my bank account.. but everywhere ese it’s great. The Shamma ones look more my speed. Weight on these is no big deal.. the big thing is they are so thin they fit into the wet compartment on my main backpack.

@Jackalopeadventureclub 5 месяцев назад
I’m sorry your Tevas broke on you. That is a bummer. The Shammas would probably be a great option for you. Also you can buy parts for them so you don’t have to purchase a new sandal if they break in the future. If you want a light, water friendly, cheaper sandal check out the Xero Shoe Aqua cloud. They work great and are much friendlier on the bank account lol. I have a review on my channel I will link here for you. Good luck.

@@Jackalopeadventureclub wait for real? Like what parts? It’s easy? I didn’t break the Tevas.. I say busted-ass as in they are old technology haha. They are actually relatively new. They do however sound rediculous walking in wet mud or rainwater. How do these Shamma do there? I’m not trying to be 007 or anything, just don’t wanna sound like a kid plying in a puddle. Even though that’s kinda fun.
