@@notmeee496it hits harder when you realise daryl didn't really have the best loved ones before the apocalypse, with Merle and an abusive dad. So when he keeps losing loved ones in the apocalypse, he's also losing probably some of the only people who've shown him true love and kindness. Its probably one of the reasons he spent so long looking for rick.
Same with Andrew Lincoln. His performance as Rick throughout the seasons is just phenomenal. He is very much an underrated actor. Wish he was in more movies instead of the most obscure indie movies.
Darryl is so endearing the way he's truly hopeful about the fact that he found the doll... His seaking of Sophia was the beginning of him becoming a truly truly good human being.
He was wrong tho, Shane had experience as a former cop who would’ve searched for missing kids all the time, in a world before the zombie apocalypse, they give you 48 hours and after that you’re searching for a body, now in a zombie apocalypse where the world is more dangerous, they’re searching for a girl for over a week and all they’ve found is a doll, 99.9 % chance she was dead and Shane realised that, I think Rick did too but didn’t want to admit it to not upset people even if it would’ve been for the best of the group

@@alceusrydan6237 At the beginning, yes. But he lost it too quickly, his mind crumbled and was going insane by the time he tried to kill Rick. Adapting, to me, is normal people facing hardships, beating them, and coming out better than before. He failed that task.
@moteroargentino7944 Brother I'm calling BS on that. Watch the walking dead season 6 I believe where Rick fights the wife beater in Alexandria. Right before Michonne knocks Rick out, Rick was literally giving the same exact speech Shane had given right before they cleared the shed filled with walkers. If anything Shane's craziness was his unrequited love for Lori. Rick and the rest of them were trying to hold on to what the world use to be. Shane realized early on that world was gone. Up till season 4 Rick tried to hold onto the standards of the old world. It was until season 5 after Rick lost, his home (the prison), his family (Hershel and Judith whom he assumed died to the govenors attack) that he realized that humans are more dangerous than the walkers themselves. This was the season (5) where he became the popular Savage Rick. A Rick that easily resembled Shane, a Rick who was ruthless and meticulous. You see Shane was already that, but was wildly denied because it seemed crazy ATM. Shane was ostracized because of his behaviors that season 5+ Rick has shown. Difference is we've seen the worst of the worst from the lens of Rick so his actions seemed reasonable. Whereas Shane had a good point just that at the time it seemed evil, but in reality it was logical.
Shane is right though. As a cop, he knows what's what and that's just in a normal world. In the zombie apocalypse? Man she's dead and everyone but Carol knew it
I think the english slang "geek" for zombie comes from circus performers called geeks that would eat anything for a show. One person also called them geeks in the telltale video game
Its interesting how back when we watched this we all thought Shane was a crazy douche, but now that the show is over and knowing all the dark stuff the group had to deal with until that point makes it seem like Shane was right all along.
He was right, but it is kinda scary to think how he would’ve developed if he was already at this point this early, come season 5 he would’ve been a psycho
