it's so clear they want a BABY and not a CHILD. I despise parents like that. They think they're entitled to having a baby but the second that kid gets into 1/2nd grade they're gonna get bored of it and I genuinely feel so bad for it. I hope so badly that someone steps in before that happens.
The comment about him competing with the baby is honestly a sad thought, but true. Their child will be more mature than Shane by 4. That kid is going to feel the need to grow up faster to save Ryland’s mental state.
All the responsibility will fall on ryland to care for the child and hopefully he realizes he can't care for a whole baby and man baby and leaves with the child. Ryland will be financially set because he'll get spousal support and child support and he won't need to stay for money anymore.
@@grantmegan91 ryland didn’t marry shane just because he’s rich bro, they share the same values and sense of moral superiority even while being awful people 💀 they’re perfect for each other. that kid needs to just bear the storm and move out at 18
@@athena2000 tbh I feel like regardless of how the kid looks physically they'll be in for a bad time. Either they're thinner and Shane's unresolved issues drag the child down with him in a sabotaging codependency kind of way, or the poor kid is naturally larger, and no matter how minor it is Shane's going to get triggered and turn into one of those overbearing helicopter parents who micromanage their kids food, force them into sports they hate "for exercise", and end up giving them an eating disorder by age ten. I can honestly see either happening.
Ugh! As dads who have been having a really tough time adopting, it's frustrating that they're so dismissive/unaware of the privilege they have to have such a "simple" process to build a family
They are definitely living in the Glass Onion. Must be nice to be stupid rich. Wishing you all the baby dust in the world I hope yalls adoption comes through ❤
I'm genuinely concerned they're going to play this as long as they can for views and then say something awful like the surrogate lost the pregnancy or something so they get sympathy. I am really sensing some bullshit
honestly as much as i want to believe that a baby truly isn’t happening i also get a bad feeling that if it does happen they’ll treat their baby like a prop. you know, like how some “influencers” treat their pets.
I agree something feels weird but these two always feel weird to me. Ryland pretending for that long that he hated being shaved and didn’t think he looked pretty just made me think… weird. Something about these people is just weird
The thing that pisses me off most about Shane’s misophonia is that if it really bothers him soooooooooo much, loop earplugs only cost like $30, look cute, and solve the ENTIRE PROBLEM OF HEARING OTHER PEOPLE EATING! Like what will this man do when his baby is smacking and clicking while taking a bottle/pacifier? Or there is this super gross mouth noise that babies and toddlers make when they are congested and sleeping and if you bed share it’s the worst. Homie is not ready to be a parent.
Right?! Kids open-mouth chewing like the impolite little sociopaths they are is objectively grotesque, misophonia not required. He needs to spend a Thanksgiving dinner stuck between a baby and a toddler before pulling the trigger on this decision.
(long paragraph incoming) loop earplugs are sooo helpful, actual lifesavers for going anywhere in public. I got mine only a few months ago and I take them everywhere. sadly, I have it pretty severe and if multiple people are chewing or someone is chewing with their mouth open or louder than average, it sets off my misophonia, which usually means i become really angry or really sad, as well as tears if i’m around the sound for too long. regardless of if my earplugs are in. i apologize if I misunderstood what you were getting at, “if it bothers him so much” sounded a lot like the people that say “misophonia isn’t /that/ bad, just get over it” to me. (sorry for the rant, just wanted to clear stuff up!)
Not gonna lie, if Ryland put out a vlog saying he's leaving Shane for goodsy and really meant it, he would get so much support from everybody watching Shane be the worst to Ryland consistently
Never thought about it thats way...yall think Ryland isnt too far gone gone sipping the yt juice first from the fame of his toxic partner? Or he is truly in an emotionally abusive relationship that he believes full heartedly and loves his favorite bully?
William Osman rented a racoon for a day. Now he's a dad and calls his little one "Potato." This sounds awful but he's a hilarious guy and his wife is lovely.
@@WhatWouldKierrahSay pedo “jokes” but he actually kissed his preteen fans and ask them to twerk for him on Omegle also racism including doing more black face than makeup that supposedly was his “passion” lmao
@@WhatWouldKierrahSay a lot of things but a huge part of it was weird sexual jokes about or involving children. He told underage girls to twerk, had them suck on food and pretend it was oral, kissed a minor at a meet & greet, etc. and had a really weird sketch show about an 8 year old puppet he would constantly make sex jokes about. Plus in podcasts he “jokingly” defended p*dos and called a minor sexy.
@@WhatWouldKierrahSay Dont mind me if i add some things to the list. He was inappropriate with underage fans, "jokingly" pretended to pleasure himself to a poster of young Willow Smith, he did lots of blackface, and (my personal favorite) bragged on a podcast about having intercourse with his cat and after recieving backlash, he went on twitter explaining "it was all just a joke" etc.. uhm when you need to explain to the world you didnt f*ck your cat, you've f*cked your cat
Mostly he was cancelled for the joke about cumming on his cat and the James Charles/Tati livestream. His channel got demonitized and then all the old clips made the rounds again. You can’t cancel people. Shane still gets millions of views. Jokes that made him famous when he was 20, caused him trouble in his 30s. People love to build people up to tear them down.
As a genetic counselor, they either didn't get any (or poor)genetic counseling before and after the test, or they didn't absorb the info/are faking it for the camera. If you go through a legit place they should have a licensed certified genetic counselor walk them through the results
Ah someone I can ask. So did they just yank 30 whole ass eggs out of that lady? Don’t we only make one a month? Isn’t that a buttload of eggs? Thanks in advance! 😂😊
@@plutonium2 from birth you have all the eggs you’ll ever have in your life. I presume you are mixing up an egg with a period. Your period is when the lining of your uterus sheds
@@plutonium2 The eggs are all pre-loaded in the ovaries, and I can't remember the exact egg count but it's in hundred thousand to million range. Only one egg is released from the ovaries for the monthly cycle though.
@@plutonium2 not sure if it's changed since my friend did it 14 years ago but from what I remember you are given a set of injections that you have to self-administer for a few weeks/months (depending on how well you respond to it) and they monitor your hormone levels and do scans to check all going right. The medication causes the ovaries to mature multiple eggs at once instead of the usual one. Once they think the time is right they harvest the lot and then carefully screen to narrow down which are good enough to use. If you've not produced many good ones at that time then you do it all over again until they have enough healthy, strong eggs set aside to go forward with. I think they got about 30 out of my friend's first go and thankfully they had enough to try for fertilization.
$10 says they have a surrogate over in India or another country where poor women are exploited as cheap surrogates. Surrogacy can be a wonderful thing, but not when it’s under desperate circumstances. Them getting results by mail with no guidance leads me to think this is one of the surrogacy places in India where they’re basically buying a baby.
Omg that is so true about him always making fun of women! When he says something dumb he imitates a woman's voice. All his female characters are negative tropes like 'stupid blondes', racial stereotypes, shaming women for being sexually active, e.ds. ect. I dont think hes ever truly empowered women, or at least without doing it in some sort of backhanded compliment
Man, I truly worry about Shane’s future child. I am currently in recovery from a 17 year battle with Binge Eating Disorder and it’s been a lot of work unpacking my internalized fatphobia and intense self-hatred. And genuinely, the motivator for me to get help was when I gave birth to my daughter. I was so afraid of her learning my behaviors that 2 months postpartum I began intensive counseling. And while Shane is insufferable, I see a lot of similar beliefs, fatphobia, and self-hatred in the way he talks about himself. I hope he finally gets some help for the sake of his child.
I’m really proud of you for tackling your problems head on, especially while you’re recovering from growing and delivering a whole new person. I’m rooting for you!
I also have binge eating disorder, so I empathize with the internalized fat phobia and shame being horrible. I think my habit was fueled in part by messages I gleaned from my parents in my youth. You are doing an amazing thing by healing, not just for your daughter, but also for yourself. You deserve happiness and a healthy relationship with food, and your little girl will learn that she deserves those things, too. 💗
Rylands relationship with Shane, reminds me of a teen mom who gets pregnant on prom night... She thinks she'll be with the father for the rest of her life. But, after giving birth, realizes that the father is a lazy deadbeat, and ops to become a single mother; because she doesn't want to raise two children. Shane is the second child. Does he even bathe? Yeah... He's going to be a super involved, excellent Dad. 😝
Much worse these are two fully developed Adults here making huge life-changing decisions. Don't understand what a teen mom (minor) has to do with this mess anyone can end up being a Single/Divorced woman with a child. Anyway, these two are a hot damn mess only feel bad for the "child" if it even exists.😂
@@prettyxbonez96 One. Yes, I fully understand that they are 'adults', hence the comment 'reminds' me of (and the entire basis of my joke)...because they (mostly Ryland) are approaching parenthood with the same enthusiasm/whimsical ideology, as a teen mom would. Where Shane seems aloof and only going along with the plan to make Ryland happy; while displaying no true excitement for parenthood. Two. My comment in no way, shape or form meant to 'bash', or 'make fun of' minors, single mothers, nor single parents of any age. I did not intend for it to be that deep. I've seen teen parents be extremely responsible and maintain marriage. I've seen adults not maintain marriage, and be crappy parents. Three. Some 'prom night'/teen mother's, can include eighteen year olds. It was simply a joke observation based on a stereotype. And meant no harm, or disrespect.
@@prettyxbonez96 I think they used a teen mom to speak about the naïveté that comes with teenage hood and believing that you’ll be with your first boyfriend forever
People typically don't even announce that they are pregnant until a certain time because of the risk of miscarriage early on in pregnancy. I'm very surprised they are vlogging this so prematurely and I think it's entirely possible they will be disappointed. I do, however, think this journey could be a good education tool about surrogacy, but it doesn't seem like they are going that route lol
We also know this person probably recently started following them on Instagram, it’s a privacy problem. Plus if they can watch her social media they might criticize the mother for attending certain events for example..or certain actions that look unsafe to them. I am afraid for her. I know too much surveillance is not healthy. They can’t create a bond either, it’s business not a sister wife.
Last year I was considering to become an egg donor, went trough many interviews with doctors and all that, so I find THIS particular process so WEIRD! 1. They just get the results by mail instead of getting an appointment for the doctor to walk them through what all that means. 2. They contacted their donor!!!! Here everything is COMPLETELY anonymous to protect both parties and avoid dumb biases. These two don't seem prepared at all! It just doesn't look serious.
They definitely should’ve had an appointment which was odd. However, open surrogacy does exist. They’ve already explained earlier on that they want the surrogate to be known to their children since she will be the biologically mother and that is the case for some people. They said she agreed before the entire process. Kinda common for homosexual couples to be open because how are you going to explain to your kids when they’re older “where’s mom/dad?”.
It sounds like the donor contacted them but that still seems insanely sketchy to me. It all seems very “wellness centre” as opposed to “fertility clinic”.
You can have anon or nonanon donations. I get the feeling they’re using an overseas donor and an overseas surrogate and an overseas doctor since getting results by mail is not how it should be done. Something is wrong.
@@ExtreemDreemer If the surrogate is also the egg donor, then she can decide after birth that she wants custody. That’s federal. If a surrogate is using another person’s egg, then they don’t have rights to keep the baby. If they don’t know the difference (attorneys are supposed to be involved), then this surrogacy is likely either fake or possibly illegal.
This is actually terrifying? Like, they should be going to parenthood classes and talking to childhood development experts, doing interviews with the ivf doctors to talk abt the process. So much more than this bs.
You articulated so much with "This video has me really questioning the amount of information that Shane and Ryland are able to absorb from their basic interaction with the world"
I’m not gonna say that’s misogynistic, but I will say I think it’s important to unpack we feel like that. Trisha has a similar history of racism, hate, and (theoretical) trolling, as well as a clear need for attention. I do agree though, because as far as I’ve seen Trisha hasn’t exhibited the same self-infantilization that Shane does.
@@HushSkunk 1. I think you mean misandrist, not misogynistic. Unless you're implying that saying a woman being a better parent than a man is sexist to women? Regardless, the comment isn't sexist at all to anyone, the genders of the people involved are completely irrelevant, the comment is referring to who they are as people. 2. Racism, hate, etc. is also completely irrelevant here?? The concern is the child being neglected and abused by abusive and unstable people with an extremely weak moral foundation, as well as questionable behavior and comments around children, not that they make shitty jokes. 3. Trisha trolls, Shane does not. Trisha has BPD which isn't great as a parent, but she's at least in counseling and on medication for it which can severely reduce the symptoms and allow a person to live a healthy and stable life. Shane is almost certainly a narcissist, for which there's no treatment and abuse and instability are inherent factors of the disorder. So long as she stays the path (and thus far she very much seems to), Trisha's child will be ok, maybe even flourish. Shane, who is spiteful, impatient, abusive, sexually perverse and obsessed, and possibly a pedophile, with behavior that is overall unstable, inappropriate, and pathological, will destroy any child put in his hands, even if he doesn't physically harm them. The best anyone can hope for Shane's child is that Ryland leaves him and gets full custody.
When Nick said that kids only used to watch Shane Dawson because they were trying to get over their shitty day in seventh grade. I screamed because that was completely accurate for me and my friend!!!😂
I am always glad that I’ve never watched any of these controversial YTbers people talk about. Every time I look at them and question why millions of people follow people who are so ugly inside and unattractive/lame/shallow/vapid/ignorant/boring. Just goes to show you can be mediocre to awful and succeed if you’re privileged. Meanwhile, far more interesting minority channels are fighting algorithms everywhere, even the bigger ones (if they’re black/brown-white Latinx people have a way better chance).
I praise Ryland for being a component partner. He takes care of the herds of animals, deals with Shane, manages his channel and pod, plus every 6 month they UPROOT and move a whole state away. I would not be surprised of Ryland left Shane after the children. It will be too much for him to handle while Shane is sleep bc of his erratic sleeping schedule.
That would be cool. If he doesn’t put them on camera I’d watch Ryland be a soccer mom and talk shit about Shane. I would be in it mostly for the Shane spite but a click is a click. Spite might just make this man’s career. He just has to come to hate shane as much as everyone else does.
I can smell Shane through the screen. No bueno. He gives, "dirty wyt boy" a new meaning. Hopefully Ryland can teach the kid about hygiene. 🤷🏽♀️🤞🏼Also, if the kids does come you just know they are going to monetize the shit outta a face reveal. Or the promise of one. They'll start out saying they respect the kids privacy. But that'll only last about five minutes. They are running out of clout and putting a kid in front of that camera is a way to stay relevant. 🤢
I think its gonna start with "oh hes just a newborn we wont put him on camera later when his face gets more recognisable" and then just get confused about when to stop putting him on camera.
@BambiLena666 @Plutonium Praxis @aka stardust I think we should just start a pool. Those are some pretty good wagers 😂. Feels like we might all just be a little bit right on this one. 🤣. Ugh. Poor kid.
My dog was named Quinoa. I don't think quinoa as a food was as popular in 2008 when we adopted her, a lot of people didn't know what it was. But she came from a rescue agency where they drive dogs from full shelters in the south to foster or adoptive families in other states. And I guess volunteers were intentionally giving the dogs weird names, and her name stuck. That's how you end up with a dog named Quinoa. I don't know how you get a baby named Quinoa.
Honestly, the only way I can envision a child being named Quinoa is a suburban white soccer mom who saw some famous actress talking about it in a magazine and she thought it sounded "so unique", so she decides they're naming their daughter that, except she doesn't know how to pronounce it, so her daughter's name is "quinn-oh-ah". Bonus points if the child is adopted and the mom picked it because she thinks it sounds "ethic/foreign" 🙄😂
As someone fostering kittens yes we do give weird names so people pick them Here are some of the names from most normal to god awful: Tangy, Fudgesicle, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Seige, Jared Leto’s Morbius
Nah their previous owner probably called her that. Pets often get named food, and someone from the American south could reasonably be of a culture that eats it
@@Rain_boot soooo cuuute! I thought she went from Toto (a la wizard of oz) to Totes and I was like oNg Nick is so creative and millennial?!? But apparently i just can’t hear lol
I dont know if they were joking, but Ryland sounded serious with that comment about twins and it creeps me the hell out. It sounded like it just crossed their minds and thinking from a surogate perspective (which is already exploitative af) they agreed for a baby. Not twins. I can already imagine them pressuring her for it and the thought of negotiating a price for twins makes me a little sick. Contacting the surrogate isnt unusual, and a lot of people talk and stay in touch, though it does bring a lot of issues, because sometimes people can feel like they are becoming friends or something, which can be especially painful for the surrogate because they might expect contact to continue after birth and even being in the kids life only to be dropped and ignored after they give birth. Not to mention it can also bring problems in the sense of the parents trying to be controlling of the surrogate during pregnancy and trying to "supervise" them. I really do hate surrogacy as a random paid service, theres so many things that can be really awful for the surrogate, and lets be really honest here, you never see rich people offering themselves up as surrogates for strangers.
@@FairyBogFather Yes, its not uncommon actually because couples often "want to get as many kids done in one swoop" basically because they have multiple viable embrios. So they will ask to try for twins. But at the very minimum they discuss it with the agency before finding a surrogate and all. And yes, I completely agree its not ethical. Though imo a lot of things about surrogacy arent ethical.
My now-husband bought me a baby name book as a gift like 6 weeks into dating, not thinking about any implications. He just knows I’ve always loved names.
I have dyscalculia (dyslexia but with numbers) and I'm a mathematical genius compared to those two putting their single brain cells together to figure out how much 2 + 4 is.
We need laws to protect kids in family vlogs.... like.... yesterday. But before this little enters the world would do just fine. We protect child actors, we need to protect vlog kids!😢
It's situations like this is why I wish there was some sort of laws to protect children in relation to RU-vid. Unlike most cases, where family channels kind of popped up out of innocently wanting to share their life only to turn into exploitation of children, in this case we literally see from the very beginning (BEFORE the child is even born mind you) the signs that this is a child is meant to be nothing more, but a product to produce money as well as not only "fix" their careers, but arguably their relationship as well. In the end, we can only report things that have happened, not what will eventually happen. I just really wish there was a way to deeply look into couples on whether they have good intentions, or not, or whether they're physically/mentally good enough to raise a child. It's hard to really judge, but I really worry for this child. Regardless of whether the child is exploited, or not for content, I'm genuinely concerned with also how Shane will raise this child. We all know this dude's background when it comes to children. He literally got "cancelled" for it at one point. I just genuinely am shocked there isn't a system in place to really check on whether people really deserve, or can take care of these children.
I have many thoughts on how they're already exploiting their "uncooked" baby via click bate titles. But I really hope if one does come into fruition, they don't continue to do so.
Sometimes I think about how the psychic twins said Shane would be in a relationship with a man for about 10 years and then they’d break up. They’ve been together for 7. This baby’s gonna kill them 😬
God willing this baby will be the making of the man with Ryland and he will just up and take 50% of all Shane’s shit and split with the kids. Married in LA so ten years makes sense. That’s the starter point for half of everything and gossip blogs have taught me that quite a few richies hold out for the ten OR bolt before it depending on who has sad stacks of cash
Gonna be honest: I'm over 50 and before finding your channel, Shane Dawson was a name I'd heard around but could never really tell you what he did. My only experience of him is through this channel, but I'm hooked on this series.
Even as someone with dyscalculia, watching them stumble over adding “we have six of each” was pretty terrible. Makes me embarrassed to admit I would get easily fumbled by all the specific back and forth break down. 🙄
i just wonder if shane and ryland have really considered that this is a lifelong decision. not just for them, but for their baby. it's a scary amount of responsibility. i'm not saying they shouldn't have kids, but just, have they really thought about the future of all of this? just my opinion, but poor baby.
I'm just gagged that they want to bring children into the world and *don't know how twins work* . Like I've watched a video and Ryland straight up admits that he didn't know identical twins come from the same egg.
All I can think about is that poor kid growing up and then getting on RU-vid to see all the disgusting and problematic behavior of his dad. I would feel so ashamed to have Shane as my dad.
It fully pisses me off how little they do and how much money they make. Seeing as I’m sitting here watching this after working 12 hours in the lab for my grad degree and not having enough money to buy groceries more than once a month…..
I personally think it's a combo of hairstyling and hair treatments. Not sure I'd go so far as to say hair transplants? But I don't really watch his content anymore so IDK how his hairline has been in the last 5 years.
DAMN NICK! I’ve been watching clip breakdown for years but you have REALLY stepped your game up! The editing, the producing, the original graphics (don’t think we don’t notice!) and even the fun guest. Obviously Sh*ne D*wson content is popular content for your channel, but I’m so impressed with this one!
Imagine being there surrogate and they cavalierly tell you that they want you to have two babies at the same time instead of one like that has no bearing on your health or body whatsoever
Just found this channel maybe 2 days ago and I've been binging all nicks videos on Shane. This my first time getting a notification for a new vid and I'm so happy to be here early for once 😁😁
They’re going to exploit that child every second they get the chance. And knowing Shane’s history, he’s going to start sexualizing his own child on camera, which makes me scared for that kid
The part with Shane in downward dog on the boulder put me in TEARS. He really looks like he's.... presenting.. Also, how much would we "love" if Shane and Ryland accidently created a real life "Cheaper By The Dozen" by having 12 kids lol. Mika was such a great "co-host" with you, both quick, zippy, and funny. I absolutely will be checking out her channel after this! Great upload as always :)
that poor kid will be exploited by these toxic ass people. As a kid from a very toxic family, i know that child will already feel like everything would’ve been better if they weren’t born. I hate people who are selfish enough to think that when they have a child, everything is still about them. No, when you have a child, they will be your world because YOU brought them in here. You’re responsible for them. Please do NOT get a child if you can’t raise one.
Also I bet they got an EXTENSIVE PDF as their results and decided to film themselves “live reacting” to the info…and just like scrolled until the first table showed up….and that everything they have to google are just in the report they need to READ FIRST
Nick, it’s impressive enough to have one of the tightest, funniest shows on RU-vid - watching you play within the format and breathe in some new life with a guest is such a joy. Absolute kudos to you, my parasocial friend. Love Mika! Hannah next??
Shane and Ryland are just examples of the fact that once you're rich and famous in America, it takes a LOT to make you not-rich and not-famous. If any other couple put forth the nontent that these two regularly regurgitate out to RU-vid, they'd get 100 views, max.
Nick! I just have to say you’re absolutely glowing! Thanks again for more laughs, I’m going thru it right now and this brought me a lot of joy. You the best. 😘
Not going to lie I liked rylands early videos where he did stuff himself like making a little room in the hideout room they found in the house and when Morgan slept in it for 24 hours lol
Are you kidding me? They would absolutely love if something fell through or the procedure didn't work. Think of all of the videos they could make. The title would be like, "We're not having a baby anymore," and it will just be them saying they have to find a new surrogate or something. The thumbnail will be them pretending to cry, and there will be a cartoon baby with a big red x over it. They're probably hoping that something will go wrong so that they can milk the situation even more than their planning on now.
44:14 holy shit I can't tell you how much this means that you caught this, and realize how deep it is, and in how many different ways! Thank you for the representation ❤️
