He takes every chance he gets to try and make Shane look like a fool, but not in a playful friendly way (no matter how he tries to make it seem). The thing is though, it ultimately backfires with the audience and ends up making Schulz look petty and seemingly jealous.

Schultz needs to realize that what made Don Rickles fun to be around with his roasts, was his charismatic and soft(ish) demeanor. He would roast you to your core, and then call you a great dude, and then slam you again. You can't just keep being an ass 24/7 with no sincerity, it gets grating.

I remember coming across Schulz like four years ago and was impressed with his improv and crowd work, was among my favorite newer comediens. After a while when that started to lose its charm and all that was left was podcast clips with his hype bros and meh prepared material I stopped paying much attention.
