@@zanethind Only rich compared to pool players. Not super rich at all though. Yes, he recently passed Efren for career purse winnings. But that's only about $2 to $3 million (spread over Shane's approx. 17 year career). And all those tournament wins (and those he didn't win) cost him a chunk of money each time, between the entry fee, the travel, lodging and food. When Shane leads the annual earnings list, it's about $200k (not deducting all the expenses). That just isn't super rich territory whatsoever. CueTec pays him to endorse their cues as well, and he owns a pool hall too, but it just doesn't add up to really big money.
Shane is pretty rich and is super successful financially and is well off and has won pretty much everything in pool if you think about it and hes worked his ass off the hardest than maybe Earl Strickland and i can see hes not as hungry to win the titles or his prime is ending and hes just playing for his sponsors and for the love of the game.
