@Los Pollos Hermanos Corporation yes he was, literally that's why he takes no damage when shinnok tried to attack him and why shang tsung wanted it, and explain why shang tsung easily defeated him after he lost his amulet
@@niyol8982 when did Shang Tsung beat him without the amulet? And I believe the amulet only made him invulnerable to shinnok’s attacks, otherwise raiden’s lightning wouldn’t have had any effect on him
@@pallani8471 And it didn't have as much effect, Quan Chi without the amulet is weak near Shang Tsung, since it's fair for him to use the amulet give Shang Tsung the Crown of Kronika.
Fun fact: In orginal timeline Quan Chi plots to overthrow Shinnok while Shang was loyal servent of Shao Kahn. In current timeline it's flipped Quan Chi is loyal servent of Shinnok and Shang plots to overthrow Shao Kahn. Also in orginal timeline: Quan Chi>Shang Tsung In current timeline: Shang Tsung>Quan Chi
Personally, even though he’s probably not as powerful as villains like Shao Khan, Quan Chi, or Shinnok, he’s my favorite because of his ability to manipulate events and because of how much class Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa gives him in MK11 and the movie.
I think Quan Chi winning in Deception was just bad writing. Shang Tsung is clearly the stronger character in every other game they’re both in. Besides, Shang and Raiden both literally just stand back up so were they actually beaten?
In the og timeline, Quan Chi was more powerful than Shang Tsung (as stated by Ed Boon and John Tobias). In the new timeline, ESPECIALLY the MK1 timeline, Shang Tsung is more powerful.
Quan Chi one of my all time favorites and yeah he did beat that ass, plus he teleported out of the Onega fight like a boss. Which was thanks to the amulet, it would’ve still been cool to show the whole fight since it wasn’t that long.
Not a knock in any kind of way the song was cool with the vid, plus I have an older brother who preferred Shang Tsung. I love him to I just was always really good with Quan Chi.
I’d state that they are both on the same tier list. Quan Chi killed Sindel(We don’t know if it was assisted but even it if was is still impressive) When Sindel who alone can challenge Cetrion and hurt her alone was amped with Tsung soul she killed Cyber Subzero in two hits (Same guy who defeated Goro and Kintaro although these two are rocks fighting a paper tbh due to their massive size), killed Kabal with a kick (defeated Cyber Sub and Mileena and Noob at the same time) she took her daughter and Jade easily. Even when we look at MK9. Liu Kang defeated Scorpion and Quan Chi at the same time, almost lost to Goro(MKX dialogue) but… Liu Kang had no damage seen including in his fight against Shao. But guess what? After fighting Tsung you can see Liu Kang with bruises. Quan Chi also killed Hanzo and his entire clan along with his family and then brainwash Hanzo. Easily killed Drahmin who with assistance of Moloch can defeat Scorpion. Although Quan Chi did have the amulet, Tsung also had a soul absorption boost.
@@coreywilson7326 yes of course. Nightwolf. Although what finished her was Shang Tsung and Fujin assistance. But by herself with some assistance from Nightwolf she gave her a good fight. Quan Chi killed that Sindel. Maybe assisted maybe surprised.
Really shang tsung is more powerful than Quan chi he can morph into any of the Gods and take Quan chi out completely they just made shang tsung look weak when in reality he has the Greater power than Quan chi
Nah, mk11 aftermath proves shang is definitely more intelligent. I blame netherrealm studio for butchering quan chi’s character by making him look like a joke in mkx
Quan Chi is the better sorcerer with magic bc he learned from Shinnok while Shang Tsung learned from Shao Khan and Quan Chi. In deception Shang Tsung had his power’s amplified with Liu Kangs soul bound to his and Quan Chi was amplified by the amulet which alerted him of Shang Tsungs true intentions. Shangs just a better snake and better villain imo
Nah shang tsung is a better sorcerer Quan chi is only at lying and keeping secrets and shang tsung had more achievements by becoming a titan and keeper of time and escaping from the void
Those are actual Valid Points and to be Honest MK1 made me Love Shang Tsung alot more, to me Quan Chi is still my Favorite of the 2 but it doesn’t mean I love both of Them Less, their Unique Sinister Charms are just Contagious.
@@featherguardian6023 you right on that in mkx Quan chi powerful drained because he used some of that on the amulet he had that's why the earth realm force need it
@@Topic.Jay2wavey That’s True, Quan Chi’s Powers are boosted by Shinnok or his Amulet, although his Necromancy is Unique compared to other Characters and Villains in the Franchise rather it’s his Twisted Creativity or his Gift to the Mystic Arts, the Sorcerer of the Neatherrealm has use his Dark Magic, Mind Manipulation and Spells, Necromancy, and Screwing with Countless Lives with Deals, Quan Chi has done some of the Biggest Atrocities in Mortal Kombat that makes him Dangerous, in Theory since he was a Demon that helped Shinnok escape and kill Lucifer that as a reward he got a Humanoid Body and Magical Powers, he might have done those Sins before Shang Tsung got the Aged Curse.
Bro quan chi won against him in the original timline not only that iq goes to quan chi and bro gives Shang stung a point called better boss this shows how your a big fan of Shang stung and gave a biased answer
Quan chi > Shang Tsung without prep time. As seen in Deception. Shang Tsung > Quan chi with prep time. As shown in the latest games, Shang Tsung uniquely resilient and will find a way to beat Quan Chi like he has so many others e.g. Liu Cang, Shao Khan, Sindel, Kronika, etc.
I feel like I’ve heard this sound somewhere, but man how ya gonna do Rich Homie Quan dirty like that lol. Cool video tho, the Deadly Alliance was nasty.
Tsung has bigger long game plans but Quan Chi serves a stronger master and is way more busted in OG timeline. Anyone who says otherwise didnt play Mythologies
I mean its Canon that scorpion only surpasses quan chi when hes on hell, and scorpion is more than cappable of beating shang tsung soo i guess quan chi wins, welp nothing wrong there, hes powerfull enough break sindels spell while shang had no idea how to do it
Shang Tsung was so much better in the original timeline, they had to give half of his accomplishments in the og timeline to Quan Chi in the new one just to make them look evenly matched
@@realmjumper8154 shang in the new time line is the guy that made kronica's crown and even killed her after she absorbed an elder god, shang in the first time line doens't scale to that, him, raiden and quan chi, didnt even make a scratch in onaga together and he didn't even had the kamidogu's at the time
Both are great sub bosses. Wish they brought back the deadly alliance. Together they were almost unbeatable. They beat Shao Kahn and Raiden and they would’ve beat Shinnok too.
