i thought that her character on 90210 was such a great role model for young girls. Independent and outspoken. Unfortunately, in a male-dominated society, having those traits in a female get you labeled a "bitch", which is such a double-standard.
She is DAMN TALENTED ! no one can deny that and the really good thing is... that after doing the new 90210 with Jennie Garth they ACTUALLY BECAME GREAT FRIENDS again , they still are nowdays...

Shannen is still an amazing actress. It's a shame that people are too simple minded that they cannot separate fact from fiction - for example, Brenda Walsh from Shannen Doherty. Regardless of all the gossip and rumors, Shannen's decisions to leave "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed" after doing four or however many seasons was a plus on her end. It made people want to know what she was doing even more, bringing more fame to her life in general! Well done, Shannen!! -- By the way, I know this is an old Biography episode however, there are several negative things that are mentioned that we know now were never true. I cannot believe some of the things Carol Potter had to say about Shannen, I'm sure Carol was semi-upset because she was not asked to make a "cameo appearance" on the 2008 reboot "90210". 😂🤣😂🤣 -- It is also a fact to-date that season 1 - 4 of the original Beverly Hills, 90210, are the more desirable and higher rated seasons that exist out of all the 10 seasons the show aired for. There's no doubt in my mind that this is because seasons 1 - 4 consistently had Shannen Doherty in probably every episode!
it's one thing being a 'bad girl' brawling in night-clubs and stuff...I doubt your crew and cast-mates really give a shit about that, it does not directly affect them.....but when you are repeatedly late to work and everyone and everything is on hold because of you...you are pretty much useless to them, no matter how important you think you are..when they are all united against you...you are fucked. This is the position she placed herself in, as the 'unauthorized movie' shows....ok, she had her enemies in the cast, mostly Carteris and Garth...but ultimately even her supporters had to abandon her..
That is true... Kelly AKA Jennie had that baby voice & I did NOT like that. Brenda AKA Shannen NEVER had that. So: she Breaking up with Shannen Doherty; people thought she was “too warm”, BUT she was “too wild” back in the day. That is ridiculous. You can’t seem to win. Ugh
@@melaniefulginiti8426 The breaking up show was just a silly reality show. That type of programming has always relied on a certain amount of manufactured drama and conflict to succeed. The people who watch those shows tend to tune in to see catfights and such.
I liked Brenda and Kelly. People need to get over this comparing the two shit. They were both great. Also when Brenda left the show was still good. The way I remember it is that when Donna dyed her hair brown is when it started to suck.
