I as a white male, have defended the police force in many of the shootings, but this one. This one is indefensible. This was the definition of murder. He had his hands up, no weapons but was tazed by one cop and shot at the same time. First off. The tazer would have been enough to subdue him, if he needed to be subdued although he didn't.. but the officer with the gun armed decided that a man with his hands up was intimidating and decided needed to be shot while being tased? This incident was cold blooded murder and this needs to prosecuted as much..

mindya fuckingbizness I also disagree with paid leave in any circumstances. If you made a decision that lead to suspension and possible termination you should be suspended pending investigation, no pay. If you for example work in a store, or customer service or most other professions for that matter, and you did something that lead to a supsension you would rarely ever get paid leave. Why are possible murders a special incident that justifies paid leave just because they are officers?

We don't need Jesus or religion. We need humanism, empathy, compassionate, we must listen to others and not silence their voices. You do not need religion to be moral, you just need to be a decent human and treat others how you want to be treated, which is a philosophy that pre dates religion.

1) Why is no one questioning why his car was parked in oncoming traffic. His car broke down? Who in their right mind who would do that instead of least trying to pull the right instead of oncoming traffic?? 2) He was NOT complying with the police, he was walking away. A police officer has a split second to make a decision and they don't know if he's armed or not. It's very easy to point the finger after the fact. 3) CLEARLY in the video you can see he was either attempting to retrieve something from the car or get in the car. Once again, a police officer has a SPLIT second to make a decision.

Mr. Sharpe has been killing it with intellect and common sense. I have even more respect for him. He makes excellent points. I don't know what Ray Lewis is babbling about though. I listened to the first 5 seconds and then I skipped to Shannon's thoughts.

Shannon Sharpe is one of the best, smartest articulate talents FOX as an entire news corporation has ever had in thier employ. He's definitely a welcome presence there. I appreciate him and his high level of knowledgeability, empathy and compassion. They have a gem in him as he's a truly wise and grounded man who is not afraid to speak up for & defend our humanity as a people who are due the true promise of America. Thank You Shannon for speaking for the underserved, marginalized, voiceless yet hopeful people in America.

Ray Lewis speaks so eloquently. Very well said Mr. Lewis. When Shannon starts speaking I start to cringe. It just sounds like he's taking this so personally. In my opinion, Shannon is speaking from a border line bad place. I don't know it just doesn't seem peaceful. We need to handle this with love, peace, and forgiveness. It also must stop. I propose all cops must wear chest cameras and if they use deadly force unnecessary it's automatic termination and lifelong ban on being a cop. Also the departments must weed out these weak cops internally. If they are suspicious that a cop is racist or perhaps really scared while in the "bad part of town", then they need to start getting rid of these cops or give them an administrative assignment instead. On the flip side I just would ask that all people do exactly what police say regardless because they have been given too much power and are abusing it. If you give them a reason to use it, they'll be sure to do so without thinking of consequences. #OnenationunderGod

The problem is that. Being stopped for a black person could be fatal, whether you say yes sir no sir, have your hands up, say i cant breathe 11 times, reach for your license... For a black person all those things can get you killed. So no! it goes far beyond doing exactly what the cops say. Just google Levar Jones shooting and be apalled at what you see.

I always get nervous when people think the best way to drive home a point is to act like you'e whispering like Ray Lewis. Like that's supposed to make things seem ore heartfelt and intelligent. His voice totally changes as soon as he's done at 4:35 I know its an odd metric, I just always have found it weird.
