That’s the difference between Foles and Wentz. Foles is a system QB, Wentz is special. But that’s not to bash on Foles, I love Foles, he is a good quarterback. But in the right system... There is absolutely *NO* debate as to Foles or Wentz as our starting QB. We here in Philly love both guys, but Wentz is our future.

Skip keeps bringing up Foles' 61 TDs to 29 INTs...a lot of that came in 1 year (2013) where he threw 27 TDs and 2 INTs. Take that anomaly season out and his TD/INT ratio is 34/27 which is definitely not as great as Skip says he is. Wentz deserves to be starter

Nick Foles did have a post season for the ages on his way to being named Super Bowl M.V.P. but there's no way he should start in front of Wentz. His greatness last year is similar to Joe Flacco's. He isn't all that. He shouldn't start. He'll always be a journeyman backup.

Disrespectful. Just a bad comment from you. "He's isn't all that." Well, stats say otherwise when he is in playoff games. He has the highest qb rating in postseason nfl history. SB MVP, went 5-1 last year and the only loss he had was during week 17 where the game didn't mean anything and he wasn't even in that game for the most part. The eagles didn't play to his strengths, so saying "He isn't all that" is interesting.

I think this has everything to do with the office of coordinator of a year ago versus the new office of coordinator today. Some players like Nick Foles flourishes under certain systems. He was excellent under Chip Kelly. Not so under less innovative coordinators.

The only reason Foles has those TD to INT numbers is because of that outlier season in 2013 of 27 to 2. The other 5 years has him at 34 to 27 which is mediocre at best. Yes, he played out of his mind in the playoffs which I'll give him credit for. Want to know who else has done similar things? Eli Manning, who has a career completion % under 60. Led the league in picks 3 times (one of those was a tied lead) and has a nearly .500 record (111-103) during a 14 year career to this point.

What Foles did to win the Superbowl was incredible but we've seen QBs have 2 or 3 out of this world games and win a Superbowl before like Joe Flucco and Eli Manning did. Most of their careers they have been somewhat underachieving but for some odd reason everything just clicks a certain year and they go on and win the Superbowl. Give Foles credit and respect for what he achieved but Wentz is the real deal and the franchise!!

Skip keeps saying 61/29 TDs/INTs, however, Nick Foles threw 27 TDs vs 2 picks in 2013. In every other season, Nick Foles has 34 TDs and 27 INTs. Point to Shannon.

Rated Rko You can’t be a real fan then. Remember that Foles doesn’t have his biggest weapons available and we all know that Foles is average at best without big time playmakers. Just look at how he performed vs. Oakland & Dallas last year. Context is key.

Just Bake dak doesnt have big playmakers or zeke but hes scored every drive he touched the ball. so did brady and rodgers and every other starting that has played.

It's preseason. I doubt these guys go 100 percent even at the QB position. Not saying he should start though. I am a long time eagles fan since the Cunningham and Ricky Watters days. He pulled off a miracle and showed loyalty. But he should have went to a team where he can start. He deserved that chance to do that and not be scrutinized as much as he is now since Carson is waiting in the wings.

He is making millions sitting on the sidelines and he won a Superbowl and can legitimately say he did more than simply 'game manage'. By avoiding starting and protecting his body and brain, he is winning. Smart for Foles.
