LeBron after games and shit Ey yo Wade/Bosh/Love/AD/George/Kawhi/Kyrie/Westcrook, let me holla at you I said let me holla at you holla holla holla holla holla lemme holla at you lemme holla holla holla
OPENLY admitted. And he's just one person saying that. The Last Dance had multiple testimonies of that. So Shannon is just smoking something to deny reality and just propagandize this. This guy has nothing better to do with his life. His whole career is just campaigning LeBron for godhood. A grown a$$ man with no wife and kids worshipping another dude with a family of his own whose career is already closing up. What kind of sad and pathetic existence is that? You fanboy when you're a "BOY!" Not when you're THAT OLD!
Bird said MJ was GOD dressed as Michael Jordan. Magic was affraid to trash talk MJ. Pistons created Jordan Rules. They didn't have rules for anyone else.
When players say they feared Jordan, they mean they didn't want to get repeatedly embarrassed and put on a highlight film or Sports Center. If you talked trash to players like Jordan, Bird or Kobe, they would go at you mercilessly all game and try to embarrass you for all to see. Lebron just isn't that type of player, mainly because he doesn't seem have that mindset or the offensive repertiore that these other players have.
Larry Bird literally said "I don't care what anybody says when Michael is coming at you with his tongue out wagging you don't know what he's going to do it is one of the most scariest things you can ever be apart of". Larry Bird said this on camera I don't know why people don't bring this up more. 🤷🏽♂️
Ever heard of the Jordan rules "beat Jordan to the ground... No easy shots no lay ups" and the LeBron rules "give him plenty of space to shoot the ball"
I'm thankful I got to grow up watching MJ in his prime. I'm a lifetime Piston fan from 1987 till now. I hated Jordan lol. Shay Shay should be ashamed of himself putting lebron in the same sentence as Mike when it comes to anything, but especially the fear factor. Those guys back then didn't leave and go form an all star team to win a chip. They worked harder on the off season to get by the previous dynasty. Celtics, then Lakers dethroned them, then the pistons dethroned them. Then the bulls dethroned us. U added pieces here and there but not like what James and them did. Nobody denies LBJ greatness, but nobody feared him the same way they did Mike
Fellow Piston fan from basically the same exact time frame (Go Gen X), 100% agree with everything you said. As far as the Pistons not fearing Jordan? They created the Jordan rules just for him that they’d foul out every player but he wasn’t beating them.
How did LeBron rule the East? By moving from one team to another and reloading every couple of years. He did not lead one team to dominate the East for 8 years. He did not build a winning culture anywhere he went. He created teams AAU-style. We are supposed to act like we don't remember LeBron stacking the deck his whole career.
Lebron took a Cavaliers team to a NBA finals with no other superstar player on the team before leaving for Miami. And took the Cavaliers to the playoffs multiple times.
@@mictza450 at least cavs had a superstar.pistons won a championship without any.jaso kidd went 2 times to the finlas at that period.iverson took 76ers to the finals.and cavs had a good roster in 2007.wihout it lebron couldnt even make the playoffs despite having another allstar in illgauskas.
LeBron has been chasing MJ's legacy for 20 years and he still hasn't come close. Because in some cases he's gone the other direction with the meltdowns, missing free throws in clutch moments, and the constant recruitment of players so he can get a title. Regarding the fear LeBron wanted to be liked, MJ played like he wanted to rip your heart out.
Shaq and Kevin garnet were some badasses in their prime but for them 2 to say they feared MJ shows you how dominant and invincible Jordan was to the game of basketball. Godlike was the word players used to describe him on the court. There will never be nobody like him.
People don't really understand athleticism it seems. There are certain people that can do great feats, but that doesn't mean they are the best All Around... Vince Carter. Heck of a jumper and dunker.
You know Jordan is the GOAT just by the fact that people are still having these types of arguments about a man that hasn't played in such a long time. There is no argument.
I love Shannon. he is a monster from his own sport. His takes on Mike are from an alternate dimension. KG telling his rookie trash talk Jordan story is the absolute greatest story I have ever heard.
Everyone knew around the block that if you weren’t afraid of Jordan, he was gonna take that personally and decimate your team next game he played against you. The same cannot be said about Lebron Jenkins
I disagree with you on Shannon's NFL takes as being spot on. Personally they are more 50/50. Then 100% but that is my humble opinion. Oh, I agree with the rest of your comments
Who is going to be Shannon's next favourite player after LeBron retires in 2023 or 2024? He's going to be hurt, but it's for his own sake. When he said: "Nobody feared Jordan." In Shannon's mind, that represented every player in the NBA and the opposition. This sports analyst is the worst in the league. Of course the Detroit Pistons were terrified of the NBA's best player ever. Remember when MJ was getting clobbered once he entered the paint. Remember the Jordan Rules?
Notice though, he does that EVERY TIME he talks about LeBron, without fail my man! He never talks about LeBron with a calm, cool and collected voice…it’s always like he’s been attacked for hours and is frustrated so he acts out or talks with the decibels up a few ticks. It’s all LeBron fans, super emotional and in attack mode at all times. They know the truth and can’t do anything about it or even defend it. A new excuse will start to brew once this wears off and it starts all over again without fail
@@rapgodreloaded9259 ouch but you’re right about that. You omit the energy you’re accustomed to and that’s his background for sure. Either way, he’s also getting paid by Klutch, along with Nick Wrong, Brian LeBronhorst and Dave LeBronammin to name a few. It’ll take another couple decades before any of this bs lands and really makes ppl think MJ wasn’t the greatest BBall players to hit the hardwood
During LeBron's prime run in Cleveland, Miami and Cleveland (2006-2018), he was 16-9 against 50+ win teams in the playoffs, and 2-4 against 60+ win teams. However, during Jordan's prime run in Chicago (1987-93/1995-98), he was 20-5 against 50+ win teams and 7-1 against 60+ win teams. In 11 seasons, Jordan won more games against 50+ win teams than LeBron did in 13. He also played the same number of 50+ win teams, despite playing in 3 less playoffs. And completely blew LeBron out of the water when going up against 60+ win teams. Let's be real, how many teams who were legitimately championship caliber did LeBron prevent from winning a ring? Boston? Nope. They got their's, and by the time LeBron finally beat them, they were over the hill. The Bulls? C'mon, that team was D-Rose or bust on offense, and even after 2011, Rose's prime was robbed via injury. The Thunder? If the core actually stayed together past 2012, then maybe, but that didn't happen. The Thunder were in their infancy and hadn't hit their prime, and before they could do anything else, Harden was dealt. The Hawks led by Al fucking Horford and Paul Millsap and didn't have a single player score more than 17 ppg? I'd argue that LeBron has allowed more lesser championship pedigree teams to win it than he has prevented (see the '11 Mavs). Meanwhile, who did Jordan prevent? The Ewing/Starks led Knicks. The Shaq/Penny Magic. The Barkley/Johnson Suns. The Stockton/Malone Jazz. The Payton/Kemp Sonics. You had HoF players, MVP-caliber players who were denied championships. Sure, Shaq got his in LA, but that's it. The rest ended their careers ringless.
the best team mj played in the finals was the jazz no bulls opponent in the finals won a chip lakers were over the hill...especially magic.... lebron faced arguably the 2 greatest teams of all time in the spurs and the warriors beating the 72 warriors... theres no deny lebron could bring a bad team to the finals MJ never did that
@kidpoker9408 LEBRON didn't do anything. Lebron and Kyrie and Love went to the finals. They played the warriors, Lebron Wade, and Bosh played the spurs. Stop trying to compare lebron and MJ when Lebron team hopped and played with 2 or 3 other top 10 players from his era each time he went to a different team. Who cares about his triple doubles. Or Individual stats. How many finals did he win? MJ played against more 60-win and 50-win teams altogether. The reason he didn't beat a champion is because he didn't allow teams to win. The Knicks should have had one, Phoenix should have had one, Houston got one when he retired when Pippen should have gotten them one. Lebron is not MJ with his losing finals record.
@@kidpoker9408MJ had 10 triple doubles in an 11 game stretch when asked to play point guard. Shocked to see people defending lBj still. If he had beaten the spurs in 2007 he would have had a chance at being the Goat. That was a winable series FOR A GOAT.
Whether anyone was afraid of MJ or not, he still destroyed them and not talking about wins or losses...besides all of the great ones are feared but everyone's fear of MJ was next level
@@JohnDoe-xm8wi What's your point? I never said no one feared LBJ or whatever. I said Shannon twerking for LBJ by saying no one feared Jordan, which is preposterous to even come out of your mouth with.
@@wayigotitfigured9800 The point is that the Pistons spent 4 playoff series bullying this dude and now all of a sudden the media wants to paint him as some scary guy as if guys like Rex Chapman, Danny Ainge and Reggie Miller didn’t g-check him routinely Steve Kerr slapped him and Will Perdue slammed him so why TF are we mythologizing this guy like he’s Tyson?
@@JohnDoe-xm8wi he beat Danny Ainge in the finals twice when Ainge hopped to different teams each time. Reggie Miller has said himself he shit his pants going against Jordan. That’s why they gave their best shot and it wasn’t enough x The Pistons have only 3 rings and are still a trash franchise. The 4th series wasn’t bullying they got fucking swept and left with their tails tucked behind their back cause they were so mad. Jordan literally ended up the bad girl pistons. He also created them because they formed that strategy after he had a 61 and 59 point win against them in the regular season. They were so scared they had to cheat and in the end Jordan still has 3 times as many rings as the bad girl pistons 😂😂😂
@@JohnDoe-xm8wi Violence isn't 'fear' from a competitive standpoint...you clearly miss the point, even if I were to go with your interpretation of events. It's not about 'fear of him whipping my ass literally, it's fear of him whipping our ass IN THE GAME OF BASKETBALL." But tell me more about stuff that's not really relevant.
Shannon himself have said it repeatedly on his own show "everytime I see him, he just doesn't look real". Now imagine his opponents having to face him.
When other players or coaches tried to talk trash to Jordan he absolutely destroyed them in epic fashion on the court. He humiliated them. NBA players absolutely feared a motivated Michael Jordan.
It was the jordan rules that made jordan who he is. It's why he doesn't like isiah Thomas to this day. He just like bird hated how they played. Jordan used hatred to fuel himself, and the pistons were probably his biggest source of fuel in his entire career
I played a pickup game against MJ at UNC and I was overly confident even though we won a game. We made that mistake of pissing him off. The Sir Highness Jump man came out of MJ and the rest of game all we did was look up at his shoes. Wow!!!!
Ok,so let’s just keep it 💯,as a Bulls fan in a lakers house,I remember when a lot of folks ,would say Jordan is a one man team and nobody feared him, until he won championships period
God no. Its an acknowledgement of reality. Mj got foul calls when they were nowhere near him. May as well make him think about it if he knows he gonna GET fouled.
@@r8ermanny LeBron is 5th all time in free throw attempts but they try to act like he doesn't get calls. He only shoots 73% from the line. Terrible! 😂
Being a life long piston fans. Every time MJ squared up his shoulders you knew it was going in. I hate MJ, but I respect him for being the best player ever
I go by facts. If somebody’s only 2/6 against three All-Star teams he is not feared. Regardless of what you say but if somebody else is putting a four or five All-Star team together to beat you multiple times, actions speak louder than words. Your game is so dominant they gotta put those kind of things together to beat you. That means you’re more feared. You can can’t argue facts. Regardless of your opinion.
Lol I couldn’t get passed Shannon’s first line. Yes, all those players were terrified of Jordan and admitted it several times. He really tried it but he needed to sell his false premise fallacy early on.
20 plus years later, MJ is still being talked about by those who were in the mist of his legacy. I saw one interview where a player spoke of going into the old Chicago stadium to play MJ and the bulls. He said it was like going to slaughter at the colosseum in Rome. MJ not only had a physical impact on the game, he ruled the hearts of the men he played against....fear installed every time on the court.
Wasn't it the Detroit Pistons who came up with "the Jordan Rules"? Unless they established "rules" for every other player in the league I would argue that could be considered fear if not the ultimate respect
In the GOAT debate, Jordan has 6 rings, Lebron has only 4. And Lebron started 4 years younger than Jordan. Additionally Jordan was put out for almost 2 seasons on the gambling thing... AND look at the epic Celtics and Pistons rivalries Jordan had to go through just to reach the finals... Change any one of these things and Jordan has more than 6 rings.
@@melvynsngltn27 Of course it takes common sense. It takes a while to win enough to develop a rep. No one was afraid of Muhammad Ali either his first few fights. Or Mike Tyson. Or anyone just getting started.
You can fear something you're not scared of. You drive a car everyday but if that thing looses control? You're fearful of what could happen to you. That's Mike. You're ALWAYS in fear of what that dude was going to do to his opposing team. No one fears Lebron in that way...is the point. Lebron simply plays by the numbers.
Kobe Bryant told the story of his first matchup with MJ and his teammate told Kobe to not look MJ in his eyes. That is the definition of your opponents fearing you. Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars said they would stay on the phone all night to the early morning trying to figure out how to stop MJ. This isn’t even a debate.
@@Sniper_T_2x no it was 100% fear. Skill is like KD, that guy just gonna put 30pts on you no matter what you do. Fear is this guy is trying to score 50 and may only end up at 30pts, but he’s gonna do some things to really embarrass you during the game.
Being frustrated isn't the same as being scared and yes Magic feared Jordan Bird respected and the Pistons definitely feared him. When you have to make rules for one particular player it means they are thinking about you and how to stop you and are afraid you will go off so they know they have to discourage you by hitting you everytime you went in the lane. As far as LeBron in Miami being feared they had a great team of superstars but the Spurs and Mavs definitely had no fear 😂
LBJ never had that killer instinct like Mike. He wanted the ball with the game on the line. Wanted that pressure and thrived! Kobe was the only one that was close
Whenever u hear former players Jordan stories the respect for him is through the roof and he is one player they had no problem admitting they feared him
@@JohnDoe-xm8wino one gives a shit about the sweepstons 😂 There’s video evidence of tons of hof players talking about fearing Jordan. Those who didn’t should have because he beat every one of them.
@@CHI-JORDAN-CHI There’s video evidence of tons of players showing they didn’t fear the guy that got bullied by the Pistons and slapped by Steve Kerr. You think Reggie Miller “feared” that dude? Fear him for what? He wasn’t an enforcer or a fighter, why would they fear a guy that got slammed by Will Perdue?
MJ had fans of the opposite team scared. He had team-owners of the opposite team scared. That is how you judge this. LJ was surely a fan of MJ and even came to be because of MJ. Surely, whatever team LJ favored opposite of MJ being on the court, LJ was scared to death that the team he favored would lose.
The eye test for me.... That's all I needed. I watched Jordan play, I watched LeBron play. Never once did I doubt Jordan would win. No matter the score, or the amount of time left on the clock. Jordan was always in the game like Tom Brady was with two minutes left. I watched Jordan completely take control of games. He could have 3 poorly played quarters and turn it on for 20 plus in a quarter. I remember game one of ever finals game he played in and it was almost a forgone conclusion the bulls were going to win and Michael would be MVP. Coming from a blazers fan, it was a pleasure seeing Jordan in action. Now watching LeBron in the finals? He would disappear at times and you would sometimes forget he was even on the floor. Dwayne Wade seemed more vital to the championships than LeBron ever did. Never once did lebron seem to be a lock for the chip. I just don't understand all the hype.... He is a great player no doubt, but he never made me feel confident in him winning or taking over. I've literally watched LeBron disappear in the 4th quarter. This debate is ridiculous at this point.... I don't know how any person could live through both generations and choose lebron. 6 rings, is better than 4. 2 three peats and 6 finals MVPs..... Says it all
When they said that the Pistons didn't fear Michael Jordan I remembered an interview where Isaiah Thomas himself said they were all scared of him 😂. It was in the context of talking about who was the hardest person they had to defend
So why did the Pistons make the Jordan Rules?? Oh right......because of their undying respect for Jordan. Wink Wink Also do you guys remember the story that was told about the game where a player said something negative about LeBron and he absolutely went off on that team? Yeah me either!!
@@gggyy7104the same guy who won the championship hitting the 3 point in Lebron’s face^ oh wait….there’s a lot of guys who did that to win rings off Lebron 😂😂😂😂😂
The Pistons never feared him but the had a whole defensive plan focused on just him. There are plenty of players including the ones you mentioned have plenty of videos when they talk about how scary it was to play “Black Jesus”
I just found it odd Shannon pointed out that the Jordan rules the Pistons did wasn't out of fear but KG and the Super Celtics take was though. Just sounded stange to me
For 8 straight years, the Eastern Conference was garbage. If he was in the West, he might not have made it to the finals as many times as he did. The best teams were in the West.
