I don't know, but it's starting to feel like there was some sort of memo put out to all the sport analysts and talk show hosts that they needed to start talking positively about a non-white WNBA player... I think what set these top rookies apart is that Clark has achieved all this despite being the guarded player in the entire league. Per coach of the Mercury, "next time we'll triple team her". This after Clark's one rebound shy of that triple double. The W was so worried about Clark making that big splash that her first 4 games were against the Sun and Liberty in six days while being the youngest team. As of today, only the Wings have caught up to the Fever in number of games played, some are two games behind. Despite all that and with a little rest and practice, Clarks Fever is 9-13 and have the 7th best record. Look out the W.
