That's the thing though, back then rappers would stick more to poetry, rhyming skills, they wanted to be actual MCs and storytellers. Nowadays all you need is a dope trap beat and some dropout wack ass dude who knows nothing about poetry to grab a mic and some good vocal effects. The audience is even worst.

I like the old school west coast synthesizer sound. Gives me that nostalgic feel even tho I was born in 2001. Parents played hella west coast stuff when i was in the womb so that might be why.

when I found out Shaq used to be a rapper I came straight to youtube expecting to get a nice laugh and now Im kinda sad because he is actually pretty good. I'm sorry I ever doubted you Shaq.
