in the Movie Rocketry Nambi Narayanan ji never said ISRO was decades back because of his absence but said it was left behind due to non-transfer of cryogenic technology from then USSR due its break-up though his team initiated the efforts to bring to India. If his team, in which he was one of the key members, had succeeded in pursuing the technology at that time we would have been way ahead by now. I checked several sources on internet. He is indeed one of the pioneers of liquid propulsion in India. He was leading the team that developed VIKAS engine. Of course one single person cannot do all the things but since the movie Rocketry was about him, the director has taken some liberty to project his contributions exclusively in the movie. Do you think he was given Padmabushan just because he got out of the false case. No! he indeed did some excellent contribution may not be to the tune of Dr. Abdul Kalm ji.
