Is there a reason your bass mix prevents the Continous resonance of the strings, or is there a way you keep it from ringing on even after plucking and holding down the note. Cos, i noticed the note length gets cut off after a short time. Any reason for this?

Its not my bass mix. I mute it. The song and the situation don’t call for continuous resonance of the strings.
